POE 2 ✧ Lahkesis Queen of Chaos ✧ "Essence Drain " Guide releas (Showcase video include)
Hello all, I have updated my build guide here for Infernalist.
https://mobalytics.gg/poe-2/profile/21a13227-9ec7-4c9d-861b-855520d1d045/builds/4b4775cf-5534-4ad2-be5b-9b5ee1b1a2e3 I am now doing map clear with Hexblast + poisons and using ED to give supplemental DPS on bosses or extremely dense activities like Breach and Ritual. Ultimately this feels 10x more comfortable to play as you can do 80% of mapping with a single button, 15% with 2 buttons and the final 5% might require 3-4 buttons. I have left the tabs up for the old style of just ED Contagion, but I highly recommend giving poison Hexblast a try. |

Anyone trying to run Blood Mage on this? I was unfortunate enough to pick it as an ascendancy. Got 2 trials done so far.
I'm currently A2 cruel, DPS so far so good (with support of Dark Effigy totem with poison, wither and I'm also self casting Despair) but the defenses are bad. Do you guys stack str + armour to mitigate at least part of the phys dmg? Even white mobs hit hard. And what about life regen nodes to tackle our self harming Life remnants node? (I'm also running vitality support on Life remnants + spell leech node, but it doesn't seem enough). Last edited by triberpaddy#7793 on Dec 15, 2024, 6:13:16 AM

With the assumption of using weapon swap why is no one talking about using staff for ED setup? Is there any hidden benefit of using wand + focus that I'm missing?
" I believe it's because I started the talk of weapon swap for ED and for me on SSF the main reasoning was that it's easier to find descent +3 wand/focus than a +6 stave. Actually in the game I was looking for staves as well, don't see big problem there. One small benefit of wand/focus setup is that it's easier to balance resists this way, but if you ok with losing res on ED swap or can max everything without resists on the shield, there is no problems with going staves. Nice thread and some really good infos. Maybe someone can tell me if its important to cast despair 1st or is contagion->despair->ED working too?
" It was also about utilizing the ability that staffs/wands also provide. It seems (looking at trade) that +lvl of chaos skill comes only on chiming staff and that provides sigil of power which was helpfull for me. And so far I was only using staff, but reading your post about weapon swaps made me realize a lot of potenial in that. Last edited by Imm3k#0816 on Dec 15, 2024, 7:08:51 AM

" Order does not matter. In general - buffs on you are snapshoted on cast. Debuffs on enemies are not snapshoted. |
" Unless you are optimizing for a boss setup I would not overthink it. I finally dropped +3 weapon and +2 amulet (I'm still on lvl18 gems), and dps is ok even for double def buffed red maps (for blue packs I usually do effigy->ed->contagion->despair, for extra beefy packs drop effigy once again after despair). For me now the main problem is survivability (and it's not the build problem, it definitely would be solved with gear, I'm currently running on 1.8k hp and still with a hole in chaos res, it's more facinating that chrono ascendancy is so good that survivability is not a problem in T10-11 even on this gear), doing juiced high tier maps is possible but I have to 100% rely on blink/temporal chains and blink bugs sometimes, got a couple of deaths this way. Returned to low red maps for now to farm for better gear. In T10/T11 without def buffs just contagion/ed is enough for most of the packs. Last edited by adavydow#2566 on Dec 15, 2024, 7:48:11 AM

" A handful of people in this thread run Blood Mage. I ran Blood Mage on my first build. If you're having issues just take the point out of tree until you have better sustain. |
