lol on my PC (rtx 4070ti super, 7800x3d, w11 latest update) Iam not crashing cause I have to enable/disable multithreading everytime entering new zones/instances
and my laptop is working completely fine with the game where my specs are: 3050ti , 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-11400H Windows 10 Pro VERSION 22h2 lolz seems Ill either keep doing this with multithreading or play on lap from now on |

This has gotten significantly worse after 0.1.0d. I'm unable to load into the game at all at this point after selecting the character.

" Update: still crashing. It's worse now after the patch; I can't even select my character. |

I've had some good results to prevent crashes by preventing the game from writing to shader cache folders by removing user permissions. It's outlined here:

" Learn from this mistake. You have no idea what you're talking about and look like a fool. | |
same here...
after thatmy GPU Settings were messed up and i cant activte AMD Super Resolution anymore (which worked before freeze) |

Game is basically unplayable now, its gotten worse at endgame actually, the crashes are brutal basically 3 out of 5 loading screens crash the game/pc. holy shit I have never experienced this with a game. Not even back in early 2000s

Can GGG add an option to disable multithreding while loading as a temporary fix so most of us could play?

" If this is this exact crash where on loading screen your mouse cursor starts to slow down, the sound is still there for a bit and it completely hangs you PC seemingly. Then using win10 or prior win11 update (but done corectly - you need to look for that) the freeze will be gone. You can also leavce te PC on it will reboot itself. When I had this issue I also tried all the other solutions - they simply dont work. I thought they work cause sometimes you can play for hours without the total freeze. This issue is reproducible and there is SUPER easy way to tell if it was fixed or not. To do this: 1. Open game 2. Load into instance 3. If not crash, exit game Repeat that 2-3 times and you will get 100% freeze at one of the consecutive runs. From what I have been testing its usually 2nd, 3rd or 4th run. Only once I had to to it about 5 times. That's why people report those strange things that they do to limit CPU etc works for them. But I do not think it works. |
