Hard crashing PC locks up
Basically so far, disabling write on the shaders folder might help or deleting them non stop. They should have a pretty good idea how to fix those.

Could be skill issue on OP's part in troubleshooting since its a non loading crash. Us here are concerned with the loading crash but: We literally have not played enough for consistently long sessions over the week that we didnt even have the chance to experience other bugs and crash. lol. Ofc he was downvoted and told that his pc was already faulty and POE2 only exposed the fault. |

I tried to get a Steam refund, but I was rejected.
I want my money back. I'm 100% OK with EA bugs, but this is bullshit. |

I have a similar issue. The whole PC freezes up and the only solution is to restart it completely. I am not certain that the Windows update is the problem though considering that I am still on 23H2. I have tried limiting POE2's core usage through BES and affinity settings in the task manager, but I am still running into the same issue.

" With the affinity limiting you should at least be able to avoid the lock-up, saving yourself from having to restart your PC via power button. I cannot send/reply to direct messages because my in-game character has not finished Act 1.
What to do: 1)Write a short review about the hard crashes in notepad. 2)Copy and paste it to steam reviews, put up a negative review. 3)Copy and paste it to steam discussions, put it up there. |

My workaround: switch to DirectX 11. Unfortunately it's not really working solution - constant stuttering and with high spikes in shader graph.

New patch is out. Looks like no fix for load crash.
0.1.0d Hotfix 3 Fixed two instance crashes. Fixed a bug where Summon Raging Spirits failed to cleanup on death when they were killed on the same frame they were created. Last edited by Seba2007#3315 on Dec 13, 2024, 10:11:14 PM

Made a thread on this fix.
Project Lasso (Free) Set CPU Limiter (Rule) If PoE2 uses more than 90% CPU for 0 seconds Disable 2 cores For 10 seconds No more crashes =) |

" Very interesting. I played a Deadeye all day for two days and didn't crash even once. Today I've been playing a Bloodmage and I've had two crashes with the error message "Signal queue failed." My AMD drivers also crash when this happens, along with any other 3D accelerated application running at the same time, so not sure if it's the game doing it or the AMD drivers or some sort of combination, but it seems users are having this issue regardless of them having Intel/AMD/Nvidia. My system: Intel 7700K Radeon 7900 XTX (latest drivers 24.12.1) 16 GB RAM Windows 10 DX12 |
