Hard crashing PC locks up

"

The problem with that people, they tend not to call a spade a spade due to lack of knowledge. For example if $MFT has been damaged (and not fixed after hard crash) they call it "My PC broken and doesn't boot up". It's not PC broken but the single file related to NTFS or EX. The other problem is that some of them already had hardware defects or poorly designed components like Intel 13 / 14 gen or first revisions of X3D CPU series, they can't hold high CPU loads because they had trashy PSU / motherboard (chinese VRMs), shitty cooling system and things like that.

Look man at the end of the day: That's the reality for these people.
Not everyone is Tech-fluent/Inclined/Educated and sometimes its hard for them to describe something according to your expectations.

"
the single file related to NTFS or EX.

May be the reality for some, but not all.

"
Trashy PSU/Motherboard Chinese VRM's

May be true but at the end of the day these are just assumptions, till proven otherwise.. but the reality is some people actual have very expensive RIGS to their name that are experiencing the same thing. So yeah at this point this is Conjecture.

You can't really expect the average consumer to know this right? Again these are still just assumptions your making.

To my Conclusions:
It's not our place to say: Your too stupid to play this game, Your too poor to play this game, You can't play this game because you can't troubleshoot something that's oh so simple for me.

This game was meant to be accessible to the public, and accessible as it may be GGG has posted the minimum requirements required to run it.

An Average Person will take a look at those specs and say i think i can run it.
"
I shouldn't have a problem except for In-game bugs, that i'm willing to report.

EA shouldn't ruin their overall total experience with the game because the minimum specs are there.

You may need to be more empathetic towards these people's experiences and offer more rational and non-aggressive feedback in dealing with their concerns & fears. Because like you and me, they are a consumer that have paid too.

Guess we both bricked some PC's this week.
ASUS told me my TUF-15 is now due for scrapping, and i hope someone
tells me im a scrub for trying to play it on that piece of crap.

little do they know i also own a Corsair Vengeance Pre-Built desktop
and i bet they'll also call that crap.

Jokes aside its best to do that as well, People on this forum will just argue with you telling you your PC SUCKS

im just hanging out in the forums in hopes a GGG Admin takes a look at my issue as well.

This is so annoying, my plan was for months to play in my christmas vacation..

Just because he finds it annoying doesn't mean he doesn't accept or understand it. Again, you're taking issue over something you have assumed rather than facts you have gained from his post. For some strange reason...

Just leave him and stop defending. He literally made his own choice to suffer. Probably he enjoys the process.

If you don't like to play buggy games, just don't play them, at least don't play unfinished semi-baked ones. That's so easy, isn't it? No annoyance, no problems, no complaints on forums, easy life.

But he never said any of that did he now, that is the point. You're just reading his post how you wanted to see it and trying to act superior about it for some bizarre reason. No-one is impressed, no-one thinks you're clever. Even the so-called advice you probably just googled is utter tripe.

Simple fact is you're just acting like a child insulting people hiding behind some arrogant and aggressive attitude for no reason whatsoever.

+1 Bricked my Asus ROG STRIX Z790-E
The things with this problem are really getting out of hands
Was getting the complete PC freeze on Windows 11 24h2. I have since done a clean install of 23h2 (build 22631.4602 with all the latest updates) and it has solved the problem for me entirely. I've been playing PoE 2 completely crash-free for about 10 days now.

I know this does not work for everyone, just sharing my personal experience.

Important note: Official support for 23h2 lasts until Nov 11 2025. Until that date it will keep receiving updates from Microsoft.

Specs:
Ryzen 5600x
RTX 3060ti

I'm glad it worked for you. I'm not reinstalling everything just to play 1 game out of 300 that I have and are working perfectly fine. I'll just wait till the GGG fixes the game.

Ive played alot of demo, early access, beta versions of different games. Not a single one of them was ready to destroy hardware by putting CPUs over factory limits by default. Stop defending poorly written code that is causing issues in big part of the playerbase just because its early access. At this point POE 2 became dangerous to run.

And how many PCs were "destroyed" by the PoE 2? Tell me about that in terms of software engineer, without emotions.

based on this forum post alone I would say already few of them.
My CPU is having issues aswell since game forced all cores into 100% and turned off the cooler so now in my BSOD logs I see power shortage in CPU and high temperature errors in POE crashlogs. No emotions in it at all. When you script your shader loading to use 100% of CPU capacity and you use some of it for other background apps then it can force AMD CPUs into OC and potencionally damage it.

I'm getting random restarts in dota 2 now too
Same here for me, after windows patch on every ~6th loadingscreen my system freezes.
Before some gamecrashes, annoying but you could deal with it as an early access problem.

Specs are shitty but it worked fine untill patch:

Windows 11 Version: Version 10.0.26100 Build 26100

AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core Processor

B450 TOMAHAWK MAX (MS-7C02)

Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Super

For me, in fear of loosing my pc system, i wont play it anymore untill fixed. Because im not willing to afford a new pc system cause of one game.

PS:
Also to the guys who think, you just need better pc knowledge and fix it yourselfe.
Just no, this is not "just an early access problem"! Risking other peoples property with your game is a major issue, also on a legal perspective! Buying early access doesnt inclued risking your property. It inclueds game crashed and bugs. Thats it! And even when the root of the problem is in reality a windows update. GGG should fix this ASAP otherwise it could also lead to legal disputes!
