Hard crashing PC locks up

Get Windows 10.
No 3rd party tools, no other bs needed. The game runs smooth and fine (150-200 fps at max res+settings), not 1 single PC freeze since switch from Win 11. So tell me again, how GGG should fix the game, that is "oooo so broken". And yes, I've played a lot, and yes the game is still running. Currently at 460 playing hours, ~ 150-200h since the switch.[/quote]

The mental gymnastics yall are doing to defend this is astounding. Again, why would I do something like that? If anyone else can release an EA completely fine, balanced around the modern OS, why can't POE?

The number of people that are going to buy a new OS to play a game (and an OS that goes end of life in less than 10 months) is almost zero. If you're happy with your results, go play the game and move on from this thread. GGG needs to fix this issue.

So is it true there's no fix announced or a real acknowledgment of the problem? I'm considering stopping playing as I don't want this game to ruin the components on my new PC.

Microsoft is ending Windows 10 support in October 2025.
Windows 11 23H2 (Steam), AMD 5800X3D, RTX 4070 Ti Super 16GB, 32BG DDR4 3200, Samsung 980 Pro SSD

Not a peep from GGG other than "give us more info on your crash".

At this point they have the information they need. It's so uncharacteristic of GGG to be silent, so they either don't know how to fix the problem, or someone / group of developers royally messed up and they are figuring out who to fire / place blame.

Its just insane its been this long without communication.

Yeah, this really sucks. The game crashes my whole system constantly. I had it happen twice in about two minutes. Crash, restart, crash immediately again. I've done several of the fixes and nothing has worked. My temps are fine, but peaking by CPU to 100% (it hit 108.5% once in HWMonitor) does not seem safe for CPU longevity. My system is new and I'm not trying to brick components two months after building it. It's absurd that nothing has been done to address this in 30 days of playtesting, especially with SO MANY people experiencing the issue.
Deactivate engine multithreading from ingame before every map then activate when u are in. I had no freez in a week with this method. It's lame but at least i can play with no freez.

...you're joking right?

you know win11 has a bunch of extra stuff that windows 10 doesn't, right? such as additional security fixes and additional CPU scheduler tweaks.
but yeah, that's a windows issue for sure man. i heard windows Vista also doesn't have any issues, must mean Vista is better than 11 and GGG doesn't have to do anything right?
Still no fix or even adressing this problem?

This happens not only on maps, but also when you launch the game or after selecting a character.
