Hard crashing PC locks up

I have found a way for me to reliably reproduce (and avoid) my own crashes:

Other apps (Discord, Firefox, etc) loading seems to be the culprit. I can play PoE2 for hours with no issues if it's the only thing I'm playing, but the second I open Twitch or try to google something, my PC blacks out. It's almost 100% reliable.

i have tried that and it still froze my pc randomly
Bump.

Same Have freezes, which require restarts. But only when loading new area, taking portal etc. never during gameplay.

RTX 3070
Ryzen 7 3700X
32 GB Ram.
Samsung Evo 980 Pro.
the same problem, at some random moment during loading everything can freeze
2700x/4060ti/24ram 24H2
Same problem here, 9800X3D, 3080, 32GB DDR5 6000 ram on windows 11 pro 10.0.26100
99% of my crashes have been in loading screens.

It has come to a point where I’m terrified of tping, changing zones, using waypoints.
Oh and can’t forget about starting the game, because that’s loading too

I’m going to have nightmares about cogwheels forever now

I don't know about avoiding entirely but I have noticed the same. Seems like when you hit a load screen POE thinks 100% of possible CPU resources are available to it regardless of what is in use. It would explain why even Windows gets rapidly choked out and why disallowing it to run on Cores 0 and 1 get around the hard lock.
Previously disabling core 0-1 for poe2 meant the game locking up wouldnt crash my pc.
After the update, disabling core 0-1, game still crashes and now crashes my pc again. rip i guess

I'm not interested in the console gaming experience on my PC, sorry :)
FYI if you are running a 13th or 14th gen intel processor, please make sure you have the latest BIOS for your motherboard that includes the microcode update for those CPUS. If you are are pushing 100% processor usage you will be subject to possible CPU damage without the fix for the bugged CPU power request.

If you are experiencing frequent BSOD with those processors... contact intel for warranty replacement.
