Hard crashing PC locks up

150 pages both threads combined only on this forum alone, no twitter post, not even a dev reply here. This can hang in "known issues" for months lol

That timing tho

and sending me that file or it's contents in a private message.

Thanks!"
Hi everyone, whilst we have already been investigating this issue already, it would be massively helpful if you could provide your dxdiag output by doing the following on windows:

Thanks!
Are yall aware of the latency issues as well?

Ryzen 3600X
2070 Super
Windows 11 current service pack as of 11.28.24
Current Drivers for Nvidia for POE as of 12.4.24

Crashing when I load random zone or logging into a character
I have had several hard crashes and forced to reboot. Randomly the CPU will spin to 100% usage and then freeze images and play sound.

Sent a PM thanks

I'm not downplaying anything but no one reported a bricked component following the crash. Actually the one who did found out it was not related to it.

I appreciate you reminding people of this. I can confirm once again that my rig was NOT bricked, and the issue that made me think that was unrelated to POE (unless you count my GPU fans spinning so hard they shook a loose connection slightly looser lmao). All I've experienced myself now is relatively infrequent hard crashes, which is obviously still a serious issue but not nearly as bad as I thought. Sending in dxdiag as requested, thanks for the response Timothy.

Both Intel & AMD have recently seen voltage issues causing this locking behaviour.

Unfortunately this requires microcode update for the CPU and an update for Windows.

Without updating your BIOS any game/application can cause permanent damage and degrade your CPU performance.

This is not an issue with POE development, the same thing is occuring on many new titles.

To fix this issue update your BIOS to the latest version per manufacturers instruction. I recommend updating your Windows/Graphics drivers to the latest version.

Whilst in the BIOS it's also worth checking to see if your Memory XMP/EXPO configuration is setup correctly, if the crashes still occur try to disabling.

This issue is most likely to occur on Intel 13/14 and AMD X3D series with outdated BIOS

Latest BIOS. Brand new system from the ground up. Still occurs.

Also, thanks Timothy. Sent. Sending worked for me.
