Gemling Legionaire's Adaptive Capability doesn't do anything.

Hi. Just finished Trial of the Sekhema and took Adaptive Capability AS Gemling Legionare, but it doesn't affect me whatsoever. My highest stat is dex - 41, and yet I still cannot use/level up gems that only require 30 stats (str).

Am I misunderstanding how it works, or is the ascendancy point straight up bugged and not working?

Stay sane.

Same question. Right now i guess i have to start new character since the whole point of gemling is OP stats...
I can confirm this, the gems can be used but can't be upgraded. This is big F. instead of upgrading it gives a new gem.
A fact is a statement that can be supported to be true or false by data or evidence. In contrast, an opinion is a personal expression of a person’s feelings or thoughts that may or may not be based in data.
Just hopping in to confirm this is also the case. The ability Adaptive Capability does allow already upgraded gems to work with just your highest attribute, but you cannot upgrade gems as they still require the base attribute amount to allow for an upgrade.

You CAN upgrade.
There is a setting
Setting->Game->Gemcutting Restrictions
Untick it.
This will allow you to upgrade the gem.
It will say you cant use it, but you can.

It's very strange, it makes a second copy of the gem, at the new level.
So you wind up with 2 copies.

Still a bug, but not crippling.

This works but you will lose extra sockets you have crafted to the skill gem since they remain only in the lower level gem, not in the copied one.

Can confirm. Creating a new one works. Upgrading (to keep more sockets) does not -.-
ACK!!!!
It IS a crippling bug.
If you try and update a gem that you dont have the stats for, but actually do because of gemling addptive capability.....AND the gem you are updating has been upgraded with a jewelers orb....the new gem you create DOES NOT HAVE THE EXTRA SOCKETS!!!!!!

Oh...nevermind, somebody else already posted this.
