Gemling Legionaire's Adaptive Capability doesn't do anything.
This is a game breaker/build bricker error.
Judging by the date the topic was opened and the issue still not resolved, it's looking like the developers don't care about this fatal mistake they made which is making the build literally unplayable. I'm surprised this issue has been around for so long and hasn't been fixed. It seems that nerfing op skills is more important than fixing this bug that makes the player unable to play. Came here to post the same thing.
It was working before the latest patch, now it isn't. I am unable to use my INT based support gems because it says I do not have enough INT. Even though it is showing 3/16 for the number of gems at the top. |

Same. This skill is not working.

...............really?

and it says skills for gems however it wont allow support gems to be satisfied either

Doesn't work with spirit gems either

The Adaptive Capability passive half-works. I can create, upgrade and equip skill gems that require a different stat (e.g. L14 Frostbite requires 133 INT, I only have 42 INT but 206 STR).
If you have sufficient stat for the support gem as normal and socket the support gem, and then Manage Sockets, you should notice the socketed support gem now says it requires 0 stats. If you respec (Refund Passives) or change gear to remove the stat bonuses that would allow that support gem, the game will still let you use it even though your new stat is below the standard requirement. It is only when you unsocket that gem does the game "bug out" and make the support gem require the typical stat. This really is a huge bug, but if you have the gold or gear to respec attributes or temporarily buff your stats massively, you can get around it. |
