Continuous Stuttering/Lag Despite Stable FPS and Internet in PoE 2 Early Access

"
Been having high latency when mapping for the past 2 days. First time it happened since I played at launch. Getting 1k to 20k ping. I was able to play fine for 3 hours yesterday. Played for 30 minutes today and lag spike already happened. There are areas where lag spikes happen and there are areas that are fine. I wonder why that's happening. I have to open a map to see if lag spikes will happen what a waste. I'm not even sure if the areas with no lag will continue to be fine.

Ive been getting 20k spikes the last few days as well. Was fine before that. So frustrating lol.
CPU: 7900X
GPU: 4090
MOBO: B650 AORUS Elite AX
RAM: 32gb
Fiber: 1000 Mbps up/down

This happens to me every single day, typically in the evenings. It occurs most often while mapping or doing trials, though it can happen in other areas as well, albeit less frequently. I experience lag spikes jumping from 17ms to over 1000ms every 1–3 seconds, making the game completely unplayable.

Right now, I'm in Savannah, watching the latency jump up and down constantly as I type this.

Update (1/1/2025): I suppose the issue is a hardware conflict because I don't see others have issues to this magnitude outside of this thread. Streamers and those in global chat appear to be okay.

I have zero issues streaming or playing other games. Here is my ping in my hideout.

For reference, I just ran a speed test.

I as well was having some lag spikes. Thanks to this thread I have a tempoary workaround.
CPU: 7900X
GPU: 3090
RAM: 32gb
Network: Fios gigabit

Behavior; lag spikes intermittently that would stop all play for a second or two; then catch up and resume. While Mapping, in town, in leveling zones, didnt seem to much matter.

Workaround: Cloudflare Warp.

First steps were obviously make sure I was up to date on all drivers, looked for any known issues with drivers etc.
Nvidia Driver 566.36
resize bar ENABLED
Tried the following and did not help:
Verify on steam
Reinstall on steam
Disable overlay on steam
DX12 -> Vulkan on steam
Uninstall on steam
Install standalone
DX12 -> Vulkan on standalone
Try reducing settings (textures to medium and the like)
All of that was 'No Joy'

Attached is a screenshot of the typical behavior i would see via the networking console in game; the only thing i had to go on.

Been having the same issue since yesterday. On some maps, it works fine, on others the latency spikes up. Used different kinds of waystones on the same node and sometimes it's fine, sometimes not. It's too random that I essentially can't progress my map.
I'm getting stop-and-go latency lag like many others in this infinite thread but I have noticed that it's only in certain areas?

Most maps and parts of the game are ok, but as soon as I step into the Sandswept Marsh I start lagging uncontrollably whenever I ping the server to explore more map or spawn mobs. Then when I stop moving it catches up a bit and speeds up, then I move on and it lags horribly as it loads more map again, repeat.

Recently this started happening in my hideout as well which is extremely triggering, and it's also happening in Steaming Springs maps and Sandspit maps.

Needs a fix asap, completely ruins game experience whenever it happens, the more zones I experience this in the closer I come to just leaving the game until it's fixed, very annoying.

Someone said to put 801.11b in the wifi/internet settings and it work for me somedays, but now the lag is back...

I mean 801.11b is better than 801.11n for example, a lot better, still there is some randons spikes, i wonder what it is.

Even if there a way to stabilize
I get super slow loads into any new zone with the Drive and Shader going max every time on the in game graph. I can hear other players or my minions behind the load screen moving around but it takes me forever to get moving each time. (Have the FPS capped at 60)
There's really something weird going in with maps. I tried a T4 and T5 rare maps in the same area Hidden Grotto. The T5 map had lag spikes while the T4 maps was fine. The lag was reaching up 20k again.
For me the latentcy is kinda fine, no real spikes and 9-17ms average.
But on the 30.12 starting around 3am and ever since then i have incredible rubber banding enemies. almost unplayable since bosses or elites just randomly 1shot me cuz they teleport around.
(server Frankfurt EU)

Edit: it seems especially bad when there are unit collisions, either under themselves or with the player.

My issues started yesterday, and now it's just lag spikes every couple seconds. Completely unplayable at this point because we'll freeze and then just appear dead. It sucks because I had no issues up until yesterday
