Continuous Stuttering/Lag Despite Stable FPS and Internet in PoE 2 Early Access
Patch didn't fix anything for me either unfortunately.
This is starting to feel like a Blizzard product. Unplayable. |

same here as well.

Adding to the list, constant network spikes despite perfect internet - poe 1 and 2 are the only games that do this. I can play a 20 year old game 16 hours in a row and not see a single network blip, I can't make it 20 seconds in your brand new game without a random network lag. Please fix this, or in a perfect world - let us have an offline option like Last Epoch (I dgaf about any leaderboards, disable all that stuff, I just want to blast ssf and enjoy the damn game) - its impossible to play this game with this issue.

Also happens to me. My PC is far beyond the minimum reqs for teh game. I pay for and receive a 1gig connection through COX here in Las Vegas. I've tried numerous connection points from california to texas to washington and beyond. Nothing else lags at all. My connection to the POE servers though will be fine then spike to like 30k for a second, then be fine and it just does this constantly. Like in the spam of a minute it will do it 10-35 times every minute. Sometimes it will go away for a few minutes but it's pretty rare. Does't make any sense. I assume whatever route certain points have to take to GGG servers just is bad? I dunno. It definitely makes for a very annoying play experience though.

" It's borderline impossible to get 50k+ MS ping spikes like with this issue, through normal server routing. Yes, 200-300ms from one end of the world to the other is expected and reasonable, but even then, they do for sure have servers nearby, for most people playing, within their respective region. So just like any other game, this should never be an issue to begin with. I've had the same in PoE1 for the short time that I tried it and I'm having the same thing in this game, every second day. It's definitely a bug or some other misconfiguration in their network. Maybe even too cheap and lazy to rent more servers, so those servers are overloaded - for instance running many, many instances of players on one single virtual server. Whats crazier is that this thread is almost SIXTYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!! frickin pages long, and not a single word of acknowledgement from GGG. |

The only other thing I could think of was my build and that certain skill interactions were not optimised or working nicely with the game engine and its servers.
After removing Volcanic Fissure + Jagged Ground and Stampede, my stutters have stopped 100%. Smooth gameplay. Unfortunately that was core to my build so back to trying new things. So if you are pulling your hair out, try a process of elimination with your skills and support skills. |

" It happens to me no water what class/style i do. I have a 22 Ranger, 10 Witch, 32 Sorcerer and a 19 Warrior. Happens to all of them. |

It is NOT related to
- any skills - our hardware - our network - windows version - any drivers - bios settings If you do anything that requires you to restart the game or log out and back in again while experiencing the latency spikes, you wont be able to tell if it fixed the issue or not, because you most likely get into a new Instance where there are no latency issues at that moment. You need to play at least a few days at different times, maybe even a week without getting the issue again. It most likely is a specific server issue (99%). PoE 1 still has the same issue, it was never fixed. |

Ok guys, I made a WinMTR test yesterday specifically pinging Moscow server at that time when stutters go crazy: from 17:30 UTC to 19:30 UTC.
Here is result: | WinMTR statistics | | Host - % | Sent | Recv | Best | Avrg | Wrst | Last | | 192.168.0.1 - 0 | 695 | 695 | 0 | 0 | 1 | 0 | | 172.28.27.57 - 4 | 621 | 601 | 0 | 1 | 32 | 3 | | 172.28.27.62 - 3 | 637 | 621 | 0 | 1 | 27 | 0 | | 172.28.29.254 - 3 | 627 | 609 | 0 | 1 | 26 | 1 | | as57164-151-0-12-53.htel.cc - 3 | 639 | 624 | 1 | 2 | 54 | 2 | | No response from host - 100 | 141 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | | 10.0.9.61 - 3 | 631 | 614 | 21 | 22 | 49 | 23 | | No response from host - 100 | 141 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | | 10.254.1.82 - 3 | 638 | 622 | 25 | 27 | 68 | 26 | | ggg-mos-1751.multiplay.co.uk - 2 | 650 | 638 | 25 | 25 | 56 | 25 | WinMTR v0.92 GPL V2 by Appnor MSP - Fully Managed Hosting & Cloud Provider As you can see from 650 packages 12 has been lost and maximum ping jump was from 26ms to 56ms. This ping jumped very rarely. Now, as I understand correctly every time package was lost there will be stutter in the game. I don't think I should see a stutter if ping jumped from 26ms to 56ms, but ping jumped rarely, so nevermind. Now, the real problem is that in this hours there is stutters in the game EVERY 4-7 seconds. Network graph have spikes from 26 to 300+ ms often and a lot of latency graph spikes even when ping is stable. According to my test I should have seen only 12 stutters in 21 minutes of gameplay, but as I said there was stutters every 4-7 second. Of course I used IP address from log and pinged the same server on which I played on that map. I am not an expert, but I think all this mean it is not some route issue or my provider issue, isn't it? |
