Defeated Boss of Trials of Sekhema, Portalled Out, Can't Get Back In to Ascend
Yeah... this just happened to me. This sucks.

Same thing for me.. but I am lucky, she gives me a new 'coin' to re-enter the trial.
IDK if they just fixed this part of the bug, or if I'm just not as unlucky as you guys. When I first went back in the starting room, she had the ! above her name. I clicked her and she offered the coin. I didn't take it, but left and came back in. This time, no !, but when I clicked her, she has the option to "repeat the trial"; clicking that, she gave me back the coin. |

This is still not working as intended. I left the end room to sell items. I then tried to return with and the portal was there, but not clickable. I then took the waypoint back to the trial. Balbala didn't have the coin for me to redo it was my lvl 29 coin that i forgot to do and was doing it at lvl 51. This is a huge hit to the character to loose 2 Ascendancy. Is there any other fixes to this issue? I tried logging and other waypoints with no fix.

Just happened to me, ported to sell junk and make room for loot only to find out the portal back doesn't work. No way to get back to that room either. Why even make it possible to port out without a warning in the first place? Why drop loot assuming by the end of the trial you'll have at least 1 full inventory you want to sell? This can't have been an intended feature, it's punishing with no warning and its stupid af on top of it. Wtf is this and why isn't it fixed yet? SUPER frustrating!

First time POE player! Super frustrating I had the same thing happen to me. Beat the boss for my second ascention, there was good loot lying on the ground and my bag was full. Did what anyone else would do and teleport to disenchant. Portal I created to go back to the caravan wouldn't let me go back through. Lost everything and can't redo the trial probably bricking my character. Unfortunate that it's my main as well. Will we ever get an answer?

I'm stuck too.
Teleported out when being in the rewards room after beating the second room (got a trade request). I used the portal to teleport back, I get back to the room with the relic alter and Balbala. I get a door to the "test of strength". When I get into the trial again and try to use the trial map I cannot select a trial nor can I any of the trial doors. The boss at the end of the trial map is the first boss "Rattlecage". When I go out again, I cannot restart the Trial by inserting a new coin. The relic alter does nothing. Restarting the game, switching to another character and back doesn't fix this. I'm stuck :/ |

Basically same thing happened to me too but with a twist: the game crashed while in reward room before getting the goodies. I had already done my first ascension so this was a trial coin with no ascension points. Still hurts because of all of the effort but no reward. And yes, this game crashes a lot, usually once per play session, always without any error messages.
I guess this incident happened because the game marks the trial done as soon as the boss dies, regardless of the way you exit (including crashing) the reward room afterwards. This obviously enables a lof of "unintended consequences" which the devs should avoid since the trials are important aspect of the game. The solution would be to treat the reward room as its own seperate "room" meaning the game saves itself as you enter it (or defeat the boss), you do your thing in the reward room and when you exit it "the proper way" only then the game would mark the trial done and final save. The game would need to keep track of what rewards you have claimed in the reward room but I have a feeling that there are already ways to implement this within the game....it can be done if the desire to do is there. And yes, the portals should allow you back into the same trial you portalled out of in the first place since the game does keep track of what the state of the trial was. This is how you can use waypoints to return to the trial...as long as it is not yet completed. |
