Can't get to 3rd Ascendancy Trail for 5th and 6th Ascendancy point.

Well, I gained 4 ascendancy point in normal difficulty without problem. I'm now level 58 and in Act 2 of cruel difficulty. I tried to gain more ascendancy points in Ascent to Power quest, killed Balbala, got barya and problems started. Instead of Balbala started to appear "ghost of balbala" or something like that which can be easily killed but it appears in few seconds again, over and over again. Quest is saying "Search Traitor's passage for more information on the Barya you found." There is nothing more to be found, I killed everything in map, discovered all connected maps. I reach trial from quest log but it points to Act 2 in normall difficulty. So I did that, finished trial (there was are area level of 52) and no ascendancy point, after this trial I could go directly into Trial of Will, which I failed. Now I can't repeat it. Not sure if that is some bug or I screwed it up, anyway it's not intuitive. Not sure what to do now.

Ok, so here is solution. Ignore all the bugs (there are plenty).
To do trial of Sekhemas on cruel difficulty you need Barya at least level 60 which has atribute saying "Number of trials 3", that you can get only in level 60 or later areas. So most of the problems are caused because people are trying to do it too early and defeating Balbala on cruel difficulty doesn't mean you can go to trial. Also there is nowhere said that now each Barya gives you just one attempt and after that it's lost. Also help for ascendancy points tells you you need to complete "3rd floor" of trial of sekhemas, but there are no floors. What they actually mean that after you complete trial of sekhemas (like on normal difficulty) you need to go directly to another harder trial and after that to another harder trial each with different bosses, still on same floor but you just repeat that. By the way second boss insta killed my Honor (hit for more than 1000) so be prepared :D |

" This issue you are facing is because they didn't finish the campaign. Because in the full release, you will be doing 3rd trial in Act 4 with a green quest token there just like the first 2. Because they needed to hastily have us do a Cruel since there is no Act 4-6 yet, that's why this quest is "broken." It's not worth fixing because when they finish the campaign, this won't be a thing again. There's a lot of people who think it's bugged but it works fine, I have the points myself and several have tried to explain in these forums. It's just no one reads anymore. |

I would buy this explanation except the same thing happened to my chimeral inscribed ultimatum in normal difficulty. Of course, those were bugged in POE1 too.
