D3D12 Texture crash and Vulkan problem in PoE2

I keep having crashes a lot lately. with d12 or vulkan:

Hi all,
I have had this error basically from the moment I bought the game. I tried everything recommended online - switching to Vulkan, disabling multithreading, disabling HDR, restoring to default setting and nothing worked. At the start it was at least playable because it happened every 40 mins or so but when I got to the Executioner in Act 1 it crashed about a minute into the fight every time so I was stuck at that boss because I couldn't kill it that fast. I'm just posting how I solved it here in case someone else is struggling the way I did because I did not see anyone proposing this solution, most people said either multithreading or Vulkan fixed it for them. What ended up fixing it for me was switching the Texture settings from HIGH to MEDIUM (those are the only two options). Ever since I did that I have not had a single crash. The game weirdly enough runs a bit worse with the lower setting but at least now I play without crashes. I have an older gaming laptop with GTX 1060 6 GB so maybe that is why most people out there solve this differently, maybe it has to do with the fact that my laptop is just old, however I feel like it should still be able to run this game on high. Anyways, hope this helps someone out, I had been stuck at that boss for weeks :) | |

I'm also suffering from this issue , bought game and was able to play no problem until last patch . Now all i get is error d3d12 at launch of game . I have tried everything possible . Must be an issue that ggg or nvidia has to fix .

Unfortunately this issue makes endgame almost unplayable for me :( It happens for, like, 30% of all my boss fights. Sometimes I manage to pause the game if I press ESC in time when graphics freeze. The boss encounter is more or less salvageable in such cases. More or less because all boss visual effects disappear and it takes 10-15 seconds for them to appear again. And if the boss tries to cast something lethal in this period, I just won't be able to see it and die. Sometimes it's impossible to pause the game, so the fight continues in background which results in a guaranteed death.
I tried all possible settings (DX/Vulkan, Low/High presets, FPS cap on/off and other setting combination), updating drivers, verifying game files - nothing helps. Sometimes the renderer crashes even without any activity. For example, even if I'm afking in my hideout. It suspect there's a small VRAM leak somewhere, so it slowly fills up and when it's exhaused, the renderer crashes. Also, this bug definitely wasn't present in the first versions of the early access. It was introduced later, but I don't remember exactly when it happened. Probably somewhere between the start of the early access and Dawn of the Hunt. Yeah just deleted the game after 1k hours because performance in this league was absolute dogwater. Like it was so bad i could not even league start, that bad.
