PoE 2 stutter
For ryzen CPUs ''C-state control'' is in ''AMD CBS''

Hello,
thanks for all the replays! I will test if changing the directory of the shaders will improve the performance. So far I already increased the sader size, but without any changing when using DirectX12. In addition, I will also test if the C-state control have any impact. Yesterday (after patch was released) I quickly switched back to Vulcan. At least here the performance seems to be ways better ( at least with DLSS in Quality Mode ). Still the CPU temps are way hotter (about 70°C) but only when entering the map. I also noticed that when using Vulcan the Shaders are loaded much longer when entering a new map => Therefore more CPU load is required. After a few seconds, once Shader are loaded / compiled the CPU temps went down to 50°C again. Yesterday I could play all evening with Vulcan without any major peaks (of course there have been single peaks -> But this time with an aligned CPU load or GPU load). Currently, it seems that it might be a DirectX12 related issue. I will try to use en external tool (fraps) to caputre the frame times to do a better evaluation (e.g. for how long the image is frozen - even if the CPU times and GPU times, according to PoE2 Graph, are very low). Does anyone know, if it is also possible to log the Graph of PoE2 (frame time, Cpu and Gpu time) directly in a log file?? This would be really create to do longer test runs. I also tested by disableing all overlays (Nvidia / Discord). It seems it slightly improved the situation, but it is hard to tell for sure. Therefore logging those graph data would be really helpful! Cheers! |

The good ol' PoE packet loss, comes back in PoE2. I suggest changing your packet route with VPN, mitigates 90% of lag. I have no idea how this is stil the case in PoE2.
