PoE 2 is boring and not fun

Infinite atlas is boring, give me a small atlas instead so that each map actually matters.
Strongly agree with most everything you said. Endgame is the most mind numbing experience also and not fun.

Adding to pile of unfun things.
Orbs of Chance. I haven't seen one dropping in 100 hours of play, only shards. And when I finally assembled an orb and found the exact white base I needed (which is a pain without scouring orbs), the item just goes poof. So why would I even bother trying to 'craft' a unique when I could just go and spend some exalts to get it in trade with zero rng involved?
I agree, but only because it turns into PoE1 in the endgame.
Considering they made all the same mistakes they made on POE 1... and even worse in some cases just shows this was a passion project for them and not something they made to be a game that would compete with modern ARPGs (the lack of any conceivable AH in a game whose entire drop mechanic is based on trading for example). IT's a bit confusing.

Especially with as much as everyone hated ascendancies... a process of locking your build into a specific playstyle with a LAB that required you to completely CHANGE your playstyle and most of the time your build too in order to complete them.... and even that, they made worse in POE 2.

I'm saying this even though it's "EA", because these things are already written in stone. GGG doesn't change their mind... about anything.

I agree with the OP on all his points, and also agree that in this case the lead dev is completely tone def and needs to have his ass sacked, fired by the GGG Leadership as he has zero respect for players time or efforts in this game.

Ruthless failed miserably in PoE1 and now he is ramming it down the players throats, I do not mind dying but many of the mechanics people die on are not even the boss fights but random mobs offscreen tossing abilities that are not are not survivable even with massive HP Pools, Shields and high evasion.

Designing a game around 13 year old reflexes is also poor game design. Most players are older (AARPG has a average age of 35+) So making the game a twitch fest for reflex gaming is just a bad idea.

Nope - The recipe of POE2 is:
1. Bring alot of the bad things of POE1
2. On top, reduce, downscale and remove the good things of POE1
3. Add alot of unexplainable tediousness

If it was just POE1 with better graphics and WASD... that would be actually a upgrade.
I rly wonder how you can do this version of POE2 with all the experience of POE1 in hand... Its mind blowing.
