Why didnt you remove the skills completely?

No way im spending 60 spirit for gems that dont work!

Was finally having some fun in this game with CoF sorc. Now nerfed to the ground and unplayable, with prohibitive respec cost and my only upgraded gem being useless.
Is it the goal to make the game feel as tedious and unfun as humanly possible ?

Well, I am also not happy with the changes to the Trigger spells.
I play casually, work, and need to spend time with family most of the time. So it took me 5 days to slogg through the first 3 acts, as I cant spend 12 hours a day playing.
And whilst limping through the first 2 acts, i finally started having fun in Act 3 when the build was kicking off, spend considerable amount of resources to equip that build, and now, with all resources expended, it is completely unusable in A4.
Now with exhausted resources and no respecs, I have a dead character already. And we are only 5 days in.

Sure we are in EA, but if you are going to "Balance"
Why dont we have also changes to spell Damage for spells like frostbolt?
Or Changes on the Freeze buildup instead of the changes to the CoF?

And (at least I) did not use any triggering skills for bossing either. I mainly use low HP frost walls to kill bosses, that combined with stacked exposure and frostbite does more damage than comet triggered before the nerf to oblivion.
So CoF was only meant for clearing anyhow, and now we dont even have that.

Well, if the changes remain the way they are, I have to say, I will not restart another character, I spent way too much time already building this one up. Maybe Ill reconsider when the game releases. Though sadly spent 30 bucks for a short lived enjoyment.

This balance path is so stupid... Just don't trigger anymore in mob and boss too KKKK

My monk with 3 jewes 15% Meta Energy (45%), All Energy points on tree 55% and 35% Soul Spring (ascendary points) using ice strike Arround 16K DPS in Tooltip, +160% freeze buildup and 25% magnitude of chill before the path is a machine gun meteor's and now ? hi's And now he looks like an old woman crossing the street...

PoE1 =/= PoE2 it's always meant to be slower and more impactful instead.
I don't know how GGG can be more clear about the fact that PoE2 isn't meant to be PoE1, start accepting that and look for a way to enjoy this new game. If not,return to PoE1, there is a reason it will still be actively in development after PoE2 release.

The instant gratification builds are nerfed and the whiners are on the loose.

Plenty of other builds still work fine. It is EA, roll a new character and explore one of the many other build options that aren't hit by this nerf.

I do agree with people requesting a free respec, it would make sense if GGG makes such an impactful patch, they offer free respecs.

Blizzard got destroyed by a corporate mindset, let's hope GGG doesn't get destroyed by a toxic community mindset.

Another thought. You could have made it spell echo won't work on cof, that would essentially cut the comet rain in half, then slightly less energy gains would mean much fewer comets but we could buff their damage for the 1 or 2 that fall in an encounter

Well done for killing the game for me, not sure how you think everyone wants to make a new character all the time and replay the same content. Now i have a character i can't use. GG really well thought out

I knew even before the poe 2 launch. Poe 2 will have massive balance issues. But being this dumb And nerf something from 100 to 0 is something else. I am glad I bought only the 30 dollars version of ea.
