My CoF sorc does 0 damage now... what are these nerfs?
I understand you felt the need to nerf CoF and the like, but you completely missed the mark!! Now we're getting 10 power per one frozen enemy while requiring 300 to cast; the skill is completely useless now.

The way you GGG designed end-game (maps) content means we NEVER get to bunch up ~30 mobs required to trigger CoF once because 2-3 mobs alone can kill you in less than one second. CoF and triggers were required to kill mobs before they could kill you.

The skill/combo already had a steep cost: requiring to reliably freeze enemies (for rares/bosses only doable with HEAVY passive investment), spirit reservation, huge mana costs. Weren't those already enough downsides?

At least I had really fun for 3 minutes with Cast on Freeze, before going to bed after hours of leveling and farming.
GGG said that there would be no nerfs in early access, they said that there would be buffs for unplayable builds. what did we get in the end? killing builds based on triggers. I spent a shit ton of hours completing acts and I can't play today. Thanks GGG. I will never buy anything from you again.
wow, now i have a build that is not even able to farm endgame anymore to get enough money to respec. i can literally start new because i cannot kill anything anymore. every time i start an arpg with a sorc it gets nerfed to death after a few days/weeks. diablo 4 did the exact same.

Cast on Freeze is totally ruined. Last night, I finally enjoyed some nice, smooth runs through the second rounds of Act II. It wasn't super overpowered, but it felt satisfying to run through the monsters. This morning, I can’t even get past a single pack. This isn’t a small tweak; it’s a breaking update. It’s far too punishing, and I’m not even in the maps yet.
Please, when making huge nerfs like this, let us know previously. It's frustating to have a bricked character on endgame.
I'm enjoying the game, but i don't know if i'm gonna make another character.
I don't like that Cast on Freeze nerf.. it was fun to see many comets fall out of the sky.. leave that in. and reduce the damage the spells do that get triggered by it by an x%.. that feels much better imo

I'm sorry but I was playing CoF. So what? The skill was overtuned, it needed nerf, otherwise this would have been PoE1 all over again. I have personally provided this suggestion.

And I also appreciate their decision in nerfing it. This is a beta, we are here to help them make a great product for launch.

Looks like you are in the extreme minority. It wasn't that COF was strong as much as it was everything else was too weak. So why not just buff the weak builds? GGG never does that. Why?


You have a point, some skills do too little damage, but I still stand with the idea that Cast On X metas were being triggered too often.
