When a new title like Path of Exile 2 emerges, it's surprising to see how part of the community seems more interested in the game being an exact replica of its predecessor, rather than appreciating the novelties and creative effort it entails. It's as if any change is perceived as a personal offense, forgetting that the goal of a sequel is not to repeat the past, but to offer a renewed experience.
The most curious thing is that many of those who criticize nerfs are the same ones who constantly copium about the most broken builds that some streamers use, as if the game only makes sense when everything is too easy. Can't you really have a little imagination and try other builds? It seems that if they nerf a skill, the game is already "a piece of shit" and it's time to say goodbye. Perhaps if they explored beyond their comfort zone, they would discover how much this game has to offer.
Thank you!
Such a bunch of insecure, toxic people.
It's also just a few days into early access.
Expect bugs, expect fixes, expect a rough experience.
You dont want it? Totally understandable. Wait for the release then!

I didn't follow anyone's build with monk, was doing ok-ish, struggling, but it was fun. Didn't use trigger skills, nothing meta even, but after this patch even my self build is doing so little damage that it feels like I was bumped down 10 levels. Being pushed around like my character is a straw man that can't attack isn't fun now, it just made the gameplay impossible from just frustratingly fun at points when you get something right.
Souls like games can't make these type of massive changes when the grind is so intense. Some of us have limited time to play, and then having that little bit of time ripped away like it was nothing is not the way to build a fun experience. So I get different from PoE1, in fact, it has been awesome so far except for the latency spikes, and stability issues which I would've thought would get addressed first.
But this nerf on so many things is not alright, as I suggested to GGG, give and take is needed here, if these massive changes are needed, give massive abilities to respec or at least not waste "normal" players time.

Just remember guys... That interview Ziz did with Jonathan where he was asked if respec will be free and he said yes... So that was a lie as we see...

Logged in now, made it to the entry of black chambers before patch. CoC now gets 1% energy per pack ... That's not a nerf, but unuseable skill. Like, 25% - 50% per pack would be a nerf, but if a skill procs 1 in 100 , you wonder why it even exists in the game :/

i find it more curious that people such as yourself think that more people are mad about ANY nerfs when most of the feedback is more along the lines of 'changes were too heavy, made the build utterly useless and bricked a load of characters', or that Jonathan said we would be getting free respecs when large changes were made (we didnt).
are you perhaps forming strong opinions about something without taking 5 minutes to understand it?

You guys probably just lost a large portion of your player base. You broke almost every proc build and didnt get a respect. There is also a Diablo feeling vibe going on here. Staff screws' over player base fort no reason and this balances nothing.

CoF/CoC/CoI/CoS are not nerfed. It was killed. And as i said before - it wasn't OP or overperforming. Just comfortable fun. And now you tell players, who lost their characters AND currency, because they can't change ascendancy nor reset their skill tree, to find other ways to play the game, while they know there's always a possibility, that they can loose their characters with all the time and currency investments again in a blink of an eye. No "renewed experience" worth it.

I really find it upseting that they are pretending like everything is ok with the game while like 80% of people playing it are saying otherwise... They have no clue what are they doing with these updates...

How am I supposed to farm gold for respec on a build that doesn't play?
