Yeh ps5 is struggling in endgame , as soon as I start blowing up crowds it drops to a sideshow. Trying to avoid things with no fps just sucks , hopefully they can do something.

While running many maps, I've noticed that some maps run solidly smooth, with only minor FPS drops from 60 to 50-55 during large mob explosions. However, other maps drop to 35-40 FPS even when there isn't a single mob on the screen. It seems like the PS5, even the base version, could easily handle this game at a stable 60 FPS. The issue here appears to be entirely on the developers, who seem to have neglected the performance aspect.

We’ve recently played quite a bit of couch coop (2p only) Ritual in T2-3 maps. It’s pretty much on the edge of playability.
If dynamic culling is on, the whole screen flickers on and off rapidly and you pretty much just press buttons and hope to live. You cannot really discern what’s happening. If off, performance chugs to the point where it can become a slideshow. In general these encounters are pretty terrible in couch coop. |

I just got a ps5 pro today, and it feels like a downgraded(poe2).

" PS5 Standard & Pro got the same CPU so it makes no difference . And yes it's totally a downgraded version . ICE BELL RINGER ~ Endgame Farming ~ Pinnacle Eraser ~ Gamepad Gameplay ~ Low Budget ~ 0.1.1 Version

Just fix the framerate on the ps5 pro already.

The quality seem to drop in coop when playing crossplay. But it's far from unbearable. Enjoying it alot!

It all depends on what class you play.
If my wife and I play couch coop minions witch and lightning sorc, and I keep raising minions and flame walls, then all mobs, some (if not almost all) scenery and even the player characters disappear of the screen and you frame rate drops to like 5 FPS. I wouldn't consider that "playable" in any form. |

" Yeah, and we shouldn't fool ourselves with phrases like "some maps work well" or "some builds work well without major performance issues." We should definitely aim for a well-functioning product overall. By the way, in the new video about PoE1, Jonathan addressed crashes and endgame problems, but AGAIN, not a single word about how poorly the game performs. You can't fully enjoy a fully built endgame when your FPS drops to 10-15. Last edited by dissonance90#3107 on Jan 30, 2025, 5:35:36 AM
