This is wrong, and there is video evidence proving the opposite above.
GGG now has officially recognized the following in Known Bugs post:

Hitbox problems with some of the skills used by Zalmarath, the Living Colossus.

Yay! I do hope that it will mean that it is no longer a 1shot..
Is it just a hitbox problem or is the ability randomly critting? I can tank it multiple times but sometimes get 1 shot clean where the frame doesnt even recognize my HP and the "XYZ has slain" shows up before I actually die.

Here's me dying with 2800 HP and FYI i am not in maps... this is Cruel act 2 lol.

Considering no other boss of the campaign even in Cruel does the same amount of damage with this little telegraph, the damage is also bugged, hopefully GGG is aware of this as well.

I haven't tested it yet my brother.. does this mean the 1shot is fixed? My monk is waiting at cruel act 2 for this :D

I'll report back when I have more information but it looks like this would solve the oneshot problem.

I went back to normal act 2 with my 47 witch in standard to test it. She has 1k hp 100 ES (some random bs gear). Armour 17%.

First it seemed like it might be fixed as his dagger push attack dealt 300~400dmg but as I tested more she got 1shot if I stood in the 'correct' spot meaning all the rocks hit me.. :/

I start to fear this is not a bug but a feature..
