3rd trial of ascendancy - awful experience (again)

Just came here to add another rant thread about this horrible *WALL* put in preventing a player from progressing. I even farmed up honor resist relics and went in 8 levels above the trial. I was 68 and the trial was 60. What else can we do to prepare?

Get touched by the swirling fire things...lose 25% of your honor
Have a boss hit you with one ability....lose 50% of your honor
Take a random affliction....you guessed it, you now have 50% less honor

Screw up a trial? guess what, go farm anther try which you can try again 10 levels from now....good luck.

There is nothing fun, at all, about these trials and they are 100% ***MANDATORY*** It prevents you from progressing maps by hamstringing you.

Looks like the "early" in early access means an early end to early access for many.

I finally got up to the third boss and its one of the most horseshit fights I've experienced so far. Yet another one of those bosses that spends 50% of the fight in a completely immune state where you just have to dodge and survive, and when it isn't jumping around completely immune to damage it is rapid dashing everywhere or nuking you with no openings to do damage to it.

No wonder people are playing minions.

uuugh...I haven't even gotten there....and I thought the second boss, with 2 of them doing mechanics that require dodging was bad...lol

Wonder what people are doing? I mean do warriors ever have a chance? Are they just spamming leap slam? lol

These Trials make me rather spam in the Forum than playing. Who the Heck thought this Honor System would be a good Idea?

Disgusting Mechanic and oohh wait, mandatory for Ascension Points.

Yeah, it's the worst experience in game so far. It's bad design, not fun at all. And makes me think twice every time that I go there if I really need it.

not gonna lie the trials in its current form make me want to quit. the 3rd one is rare drop and very long. I never die its just the bs honor thing. im sorry but ggg needs to figure this out quick

It took me a while to realize: your first few runs are not meant to win the trial (unless you are super good). They are meant for you to farm relics. Of the kind that has % increased honor, and % honor resistance. Stuff the relic altar with these and don't bother with anything else until you have 75% honor resist.

When you enter the first room with 12k honor and 75% resistance, there are few things that can brick your run (but they are).

Failed several runs now in situations where I was nowhere near death.
Old labs were infinitely superior to this.

Totally agree, running 3 labs in a row is already a huge challenge, because every boss can one shot you. Now we also have this stupid honor

since last patch where they fixed sanctum for melees, i have to say that i disagree and that sanctum is pretty melee friendly now, did my 3th ascendancy first try after the patch, also i dont know what permanent immune phase on thrid boss? he litteraly was never immune for me


quick edit: its important that before you go into your thrid trial, you should do the quest trial and the 2 floor trial prior, as it unlocks extra relic slots and also farm some lowlvl runs for relics with honour resistance and maximum honour, these 2 stats are so important, you wont belive the difference if you dont have them just yet
