Can we all agree this has to change?
There is no way that dying has to be that punishing, it serves no purpose other than wasting our time running back, killing all the mobs. You don't have to mimic a roguelike game or a Soulslike
On top of that, losing any loot on the ground is the biggest FU from the dev team. Please change that sht asap, just as you deleted my CoF build and made me farm gold to respec. I ve already lost 10-12h of trying to respec! Last bumped on Dec 16, 2024, 10:41:47 AM

While i don't die that often, since i started mapping it's been even more frustrating to play a ARPG that wanna be a souls-like so much. Almost every boss got a death explosion, most yellow mobs do. nowadays i just double roll out of combat after every pack/rare mobs die. its 50/50 you will die from after death explosion, and i find the mechanic cheap, it only serves a comedic purpose for the first few times. After that its frustration and annoyance. Not challenge and difficult. Got 70+ levels on my monk. after act 1 normal i started squishing every boss in 10-15 seconds. I don't find the game particularly hard, maybe i've been lucky with skill choices and gear. But my main complaints are death punishments and honor system.. Those two makes no sense whatsoever in an ARPG.. its so out of genre of an ARPG is odd. Difficulty/Challenging is totally different from Punishing/Demoralizing. Its a hard and narrow path to walk as a game dev. But i am sure GGG will figure it out. I've started enjoying grouping more due the game being normal on death in groups(unless complete wipe). So that's a plus at least. |

Dying in arpg is already punishing, by losing time, progression, the map rewards and later on xp.
Losing the loot on the ground and having to re-progress all your way to the point you died, is just annoyance and disrespectful to our time. I hope they fix that asap. |

I don't agree punishing people with exp loss on death means the game isn't only about stacking DPS.
If there was no such of a downside, you would overall always save time by going for the fastest DPS builds. Which isn't exactly fair for people that actually invest in defenses. |

Agreed, the don't mind the respawn sometimes, but honestly its more of a pain than more times than not. The losing shit on the ground is absolutely bullshit. i killed it, so i have right to that loot. I shouldn't lose loot just cause i died 2 feet away from it trying to fend off a mob of monsters.
