Unable to remove Fate items from trialmaster door

Inserted a cowardly fate in the trialmaster door, realised i did not bring all three pieces and now unable to remove it from the door.

This just happened to me. I accidentally walked up to inspect it and hit "A" on my controller and now I cannot remove it, so I just wasted a Divine if the instance closes and does not return it to my inventory. Sad/Frustrating.

Same problem. Inserted 2 keys, unable to remove them. Had to leave the Trial and now my keys are gone

Same problem, one fragment inside, and can't open the door interface now to put in another ones
