I mostly just turned it off while I was fighting hordes of ultra difficult to fight mobs in Cruel difficulty like the gamer I am.

I feel you bro. I just like to have weird conversations in general chat that are sometimes edgy. Or conspiracy theories or politics or number of other general chat topics that every game partakes in except Path of Exile apparently

I mostly don't engage in the global chat in-game. Where I have tried to engage by asking questions its mostly met with smart asses or troll replies.
General chat from my observation looks a lot like Reddit, toxic. Which makes sense right? the most vocal are typically the toxic loudmouthed ones. |

Why should anybody be subjected to your rambling opinions in the first place? There's a million platforms you can use to discuss whatever you like. People play games to relax have fun, not to be constantly bombarded with whatever brain rot Twitter takes you have. You sound super entitled and whiny.

First thing I did after booting POE 2 for the first time, was turn off global chat.
