Path of exile is a job.

You can do all of what you said in poe1. Like what made you even think the crafting should be copy pasted into poe2?

Be glad we get to start from scratch and not be bombarded with some convoluted crafting solutions.
Why do you assume that I think this way or want it? I don't care at all. The worse PoE 2 is, the better it is for me because I'm not interested in the souls-like genre. I'm just stating a fact: crafting in PoE 2 is nothing but a pathetic parody of crafting.
How would you even know what dark souls is like if you never played it, as you're "not interested in it"?

Did you play poe1 12-13 years ago? Remember the crafting we had then? It was nothing but a "pathetic parody of crafting". Quit clowning, you're saying a whole lot of nothing and look for excuses to talk your poe1 crafting specifics as if it's supposed to impress anyone. Yawn..

First of all, I've played Dark Souls. Second, nowadays, you don't have to play a game to understand what it's like. There's YouTube, with tons of videos about games—are you aware of that?

Great example. Crafting in PoE 1 back in 2014 was also boring trash, yes. Although still more interesting than PoE 2. So what? Does that somehow negate the fact that crafting in PoE 2 in 2024 is also trash? Why did they roll back more than 10 years? To cater to casual arcade players like you?
Ok, so you watch a youtube video about electrical work and then think you're an expert electrician? Car mechanic? Dark souls player?

The point is, you still have poe1 crafting in poe1. Why does the same level of crafting have to be copied to poe2? Given enough time, I'm sure we'll have more crafting tools given to us. You are speaking from the curse of knowledge - poe1 crafting is a solved problem because of all the 3rd party tools we have.

Wait, are you seriously claiming that to call PoE 2 a Souls-like game, I need to become an expert in Souls-like games? Sorry, but do I need to be an expert in eating crap to understand that what's in front of me is not candy, but crap?

I never said they have no chance to fix the situation. What I said is that right now, crafting in PoE 2 is boring trash. I think they'll add a lot of content over time—maybe in about five years, it'll get interesting. But until then, rolling on the floor around bosses is pretty much the only thing they can offer players. Enthusiastic fans of paid streamers just won’t get it until they taste this crap themselves (until they reach the endgame, where they’ll have nothing to do and nowhere to grow because, as I said, the current building ceiling in PoE 2 is having all your armor pieces with max life and resists—you don’t even need have attributes)

You are criticising poe2 for being souls-like, but if you don't understand what a souls game is like, then your claims are opinion, which is fine, but you are presenting your opinion as fact and that's what I have a problem with. You are talking out of your rear, to put it politely.

It's posts like these that lead to topics like this or asking "what the devs were smoking because I am so much smarter than than the devs and I know better.." type of bullcrap. Fortunately for you, the hysteria of the masses works in your favour and so you have the illusion of making a point.

Why do you assume I don’t understand what a Souls-like game is if I have experience playing it and watching videos about it? How many thousands of hours do you think someone needs in Dark Souls to have the right to talk about it, in your opinion? And how many thousands of hours do you have in PoE, since you’re making judgments about it? Are you an expert in PoE yourself?

Base game is fun until you want to progress.

Everything boils down to trade. Better keep an eye on meta strategies. People running an easy rare in the acts will throw the economy into chaos.

The best way to gear is to trade.

Crafting is terrible. Might as well trade the mats to again.... go trade more.

Finally get your build to a decent place? Nerf. Back to trade. ....

I don't think one piece of gear I have has come from the ground.

Trade of exile.

exactly bro! ...and the background of all this is even more depressing...
