The "Event Horizon" notable has a not so great interaction with Energy Shield recharge and I feel like it might need a change to feel worth taking it (and the nodes behind it).
The notable makes you lose Energy Shield when you use a chaos skill. Loss of ES, not just damage, also interrupts ES recharge. Therefore if you keep casting chaos skills you will end up depleting your Energy Shield and need to acquire ES through other means than recharge.
These other means to regain ES are not available enough to make this notable worth it for almost any build. Below I have listed the sources which i could think off:
-Regen with Zealots Oath. This severely limits build options since its almost on the opposite side of the tree and requires to build around long pathing.
-ES leech? I'm not sure if there are any sources of this in the game at the moment.
-Not using chaos skills long enough for ES recharge to happen. This makes investment into chaos skills only worth it with some kind of weapon swap setup where a non chaos ability is used most of the time.
I believe the intent of this node is to require a lot of sustain as a trade-off for a lot of chaos damage, but in its current form it feels unplayable on an ES + chaos damage character since it keeps interrupting my recharge.
Is the current interaction between "Event Horizon" and ES recharge intended?

Deathrattle Twig Focus
Prayers for Rain Keth Raiment
Tetzlapokal's Desire
Maybe something can be done with these.
And if you use CI and 1 regen - u will get chaos damage inc only, technically.
But yeah, It's true there's little interaction - which is true for the whole POE2. It can't compare to POE.

OR you could use "mind over matter" with "The Black Doubt," get super mana regen/recovery and big mana pool. It takes 3% of life + 1200 base life (If the CI thing that i wrote in the other post doesnt work) = >36 * aps = life spent per sec = 360 maximum mana recovery needed per cast + u need big mana pool cause of dot bypasses ES, hence mind over matter - big mana pool = gain mana on kill is the best - 2% per jewel or anoint => 1800 maximum mana already means 0 loss with event horizon if your skill oneshots. U can stack much further - But for big mana pool we need CI which brings me to the nulify of the down side with CI if having 1 regen really makes you not die when your life gets to 0.97% of "1" in a single tick. Idk. Really bad interactions
