Death Penalty System - EXP Loss in particular

XP loss is lazy trash game design, full stop. No excuses, no apologist garbage will ever make it ok to take players invested time away. XP loss is cancer, and devs who implement it should shake their heads.

I can't second this hard enough.
How the am I supposed to progress if I get a 10% penalty every single time I die? Now it even applies to the non end game map (just had it taken on a trial of chaos which is already hard enough). I work full time and have a family--give me a fucking chance to progress here guys. Taking 10% of my exp for dying is a dick move. |
