Very low FPS on a high-end pc

"
i forgot something, if you have a nvidia gpu

go into the nvidia control panel, manade 3D settings and search for Shader Cache Size and set it to 10GB or 100GB

you also can go to %APPDATA%/Path of Exile 2, search for shader folders, vulkan and/or directX3D and delete them....

cheers

Yes already set it to 100GB...game is a little bit smoother since i uncheck vsync but far from where it needs to be with a 4090 and my hw. Its early access so it has time to get more optimized :D

Thanks for the tips!
My game freeze and crash within 10 minute once I enable muti threading or set power management>maximum process state to 100%. but without mutithreading my game stuck at 17fps and lag during boss fight/big pack of mobs. Have been trying various ways on the internet - nvidia controll panel/limit cpu/clear cache/every in-game setting combinations/windows graphic setting/Dx11 12 Vulkan, nothing solve it. I check my cpu/gpu temperature, it is not the problem here (60 degree max).

cpu intel i7
gpu 3060

Plz fix it, it is really unplayable.

have you enabled multi threading in your bios too? if so, maybe try to disable it and see if it helps

otherwise i am out of wisdowm too at this point, tho it could easily be a early access problem.

fixes for problems like that gonna come soon since a lot of people have problems but until then, we just can try to do all the stuff we mentioned here

maybe reinstall windows to 23h2 version....

i dont know....

good luck mate

Not sure where that setting is, tried to look but didnt find it but then again it must be on...i have 2 monitors and i have task manager and my cooler app that shows cpu, gpu temp and workload. I can see 8 cores (16 multithread) working hard. So it looks correct. Meaning 1 CCD taking care of gaming and other doing other stuff as it has low usage.

But for me the issue is not that critical anymore with vsync off. Its not optimal but game is much smoother. Boss fights a bit bad but then again i wait for better optimization for both the game and windows and DX12....
Thanks for the help.
Been looking for answers all over on this. Can't seem to find a resolution at all.

PC Specs.

AMD Ryzen 7 5800x
Aero RTX 4090
Win11

This game refuses to run well, i've done multiple things to try and see if it would fix the FPS drops and unstable problem.

Updated BIOS
Updated everything in the computer I could think of
Removed cache folders
Updated NVDIA to 100 GB cache
Tried steam and standalone
Reinstalled the game twice

Vulkan/DX12
Fullscreen/Window
VSYNC settings on off/nvdia/monitor

I really am not sure what else is going to fix it. Can I have something defective going on with the GPU? Maybe the testers say its a little bit slower than avg but still above where it should be. If you get an update on this being resolved or anything else to try please let us know.
Jumpy? ^ both amd's see if your monitors have AMD freesync. It's in the OSD menu using your physical monitor buttons. Yea use it with vsync off. Disconnect all other peripherals, hdd's, and set your network to be a "metered" connection. this will stop background downloads and net usage if any. check your connections, poe be like that.

check your i7 isn't an affected lot, bios update it. if an affected model and update does not help, it might be cooked. Think back if other things have crashed like browser tabs.
