Just realized the gaming/streaming PC specs in the signature. This whole thread makes more sense now.

" Ah, you are one of those. Just waiting for the comment that I'm bragging, despite not mentioning anything like it. Go on, say it. Gaming PC: Win 11, 7600X3D, RTX 4080, 32GB DDR5-6000 CL30, 7000 MB/s SSD, 850W, 3840x2160p 120Hz

" The fact that you entirely missed my point and think I care at all if you're bragging kinda proves my point. Streamers (those attracted to doing so) are often self-absorbed, entitled, and most importantly, have an amazing lack of self-awareness. Not all of course, but it explains why you exhibited all those qualities in your post. You making functional builds in PoE1 doesn't correlate to PoE2. You were good at one game and instead of trying to learn this one, just complain that your PoE1 skills don't make you a god here. It's not rocket science, but man you missed the mark. |

" It proves absolutely nothing. I've been attacked before about this in pretty much the same way. But I don't need to explain myself to you, it's none of your business. " "Not all, of course, but you are definitely one of them." You are being super offensive for no reason. Taking the "high ground", but you are projecting extremely hard and acting all high and mighty, yet failed to discover that I have like 3 followers (2 of which are probably bots) and I stream whenever I feel like it and whatever I feel like. I'm not a "streamer". I do it to practice my English speaking skills and to kill time because I enjoy it every now and then. " It absolutely does translate to it basically 1:1 because, in case you haven't noticed, aside from a few functionality changes, the mechanics are basically the same and the required mechanical skill level is even lower now, thanks to dodge roll. I find PoE 2 mechanically vastly easier, because I'm also a Souls-like player and am familiar with boss fights crafted this way, ARPG or not. I made this post when I was frustrated and triggered by a shit mechanic that caught me off-guard (I did not expect this guy to have over 10x the HP of the previous boss), and because PoE 2 was this big thing that was promised to change how we approach the game, making lower DPS builds relevant again, but that was a complete farce. It's the same old shit but with a new shiny coat of paint. I could have slapped on Shockwave Totems and exploited their mechanic for high burst damage, BUT THAT WAS NOT THE POINT. I wanted to see if it'd be doable just how they said it would be. It's just not. Gaming PC: Win 11, 7600X3D, RTX 4080, 32GB DDR5-6000 CL30, 7000 MB/s SSD, 850W, 3840x2160p 120Hz

I done about 100 trials of sekhemas now, mind you I'm running a budget gemlin legionnaire build yes gemlin is OP but not until you get the expensive gear so I'm not OP not yet anyways. There are plenty warriors who outshine me at the moment, I have compared to some of my friends.
With that out of the way I have lost maybe 20 of those trials and that was because rng scuffed me so hard I could only choose a terrible affliction and I didn't get an option ever to remove them so I knew I was fked and sometimes didn't even get to the boss and sometimes reached boss but died there. But when I died I didn't get mad I mean it sucks but it's not a big deal. I actually felt excited doing the trials and was clenching my buttcheeks wondering what rng would do to me sometimes. But the feeling of success finishing a trial especially with bad afflictions is a joyous occasion. Losing them sucks but my mindset is to expect that happening and so I just go again and hope for best next time. If the trials were easier to do or had no challenge then it wouldn't feel as good completing them. Also the rewards you can get from doing it is what makes it worthwhile and even more exciting if you manage to finish. Trial of Sekhemas is good in my opinion but of course could benefit from some tweaks here and there like most things in the game, temple of chaos however needs work done, not because it's hard but because it's boring. " I can relate to your opinion about-"lets make HP progression more linear, it will help with making more fun builds viable" I also can relate to your opponents, coming with position that its build problem, there are 10 builds at least that one-shot all pinacles. I myself using one of those. Problem is-there will be always broken meta builds in this game, and ppl using them will defend this builds as thats is how game supposed to be played in their opinion. Maybe actually making game easier in terms of pinacles HP pool will help, as one shoters will still one shot them, but other, more fun/casual/mechanical oriented players can have their chance too. We still waiting to see whats GGG view on POE2 is, its to early to make some hard opinions. So, overall-guys, lets stop fighting, its just useless nerves. " Finally a level headed response. Appreciate the reply. Pretty much how I see it, too. There's too much damage in the game overall, and in other areas there's far too little. Gaming PC: Win 11, 7600X3D, RTX 4080, 32GB DDR5-6000 CL30, 7000 MB/s SSD, 850W, 3840x2160p 120Hz

I spent an entire day doing 4th asc trial of sek on my minion build that at the time had 300k dps. I believe it took 14 runs total and I had to have the Harefoot boon to complete it. Maybe because I only had 25% runspeed boots idk but the bubble mechanic is definitely shit. Now it has over 1.4 mil dps and I still wouldn't do this content if it helps your mental state on the issue.
I just finished 4th ascendancy on my monk doing chaos trial instead yesterday with minimal effort. I just waited until I was overleveled for both. about 80 ish for 3rd and close to 90 for the 4th. You need around 250k-300k tooltip (after buffs is fine) before you try to tackle either of these bosses. I do chaos trial and just wait until I'm overleveled beacuse it's faster and you don't actually have to invest anything until the 4th ascendancy for the keys to open the gate. He's super easy, telegraphs all his moves and doesn't make you run around the room with a slowing debuff to collect orbs for an instant loss. Only thing you have to do is let him finish his ground slam before you go back in. That's really the only tough mechanic. It's way easier to just do 3rd ascendancy on the 3 boss ultimatum and 4th on the trialmaster. Trial of sekehemas is just stupid. Last edited by ImMobile2010#0431 on Feb 2, 2025, 8:36:39 AM
