Compromised PoE Accounts: Stolen Items and Hacked Accounts - Discussion and Leads

It seems so wild to me that namecalling hackers will instantly be removed from support but fixing these obvious problems is not. The picture GGG paints here indirectly is drastically negative towards the victims, juts in my personal view. Hackers selling items on their website while victims accounts are blocked.

Has any account that was hacked earely december been freed by GGG? We had a discussion lately in guild if that happens now that GGG employees are back.
I lost my account yesterday, without any notification about another location login. I’m currently waiting on poe 2 custommer support to respond and will request refund as I believe this is a breach of my personal data.
I am also hacked and i checked there isnt any logins with my account or i couldnt detect it. but my full inventory is gone my stash tabs are same my currency stash is ok but 300 div investment is gone.
So, is there anyone who used standalone client?

Weeks have gone by with no response from the team after accounts were locked, nor any updates about the issue. Many posts identify the hacker by tracking stolen items, while the victims, whose accounts were locked, are ironically treated as if they were the culprits.
Guys, I find it alarming that we still haven’t received any responses from the support team. For me, it’s been 12 days now, and for others, it’s probably even longer. Meanwhile, people have managed to identify some of the hackers, but their names are immediately censored by support. It feels like protecting the perpetrators is being prioritized over protecting the victims…
Has anyone gotten their account unlocked yet?
especially those who got locked out way earlier.

ATM, it feels like a second job, where im checking forums and emails everyday to see if there are any progress on this, while they have said nothing just like email responses that seems like going no where.

all i want is to play my own account. At this rate, refunding unauthorized purchases seems like the bare minimum, forget about compensation, i dont even know how they got access to my POE account when i played from steam with steam guard, changed password recently before playing POE 2 and no use of 3rd party apps, only used POE 2 trade site.

usually when shit happens to a game i play, i dont post on forums or use twitter at all, but i felt obligated to say something to their 'we are back' tweet, first time posting something on twitter btw.

if i knew i had to go through all these, i would have waited for full release. spending money wasnt the problem, it was the follow up on issues, i guess there is always a first time experience for everything
I was Hacked to day! it sucks all my chars are cleaned and my bank is cleaned out! lost every thing about 400 hour of play! So they can fix it or earn some bad rep. Will not play this game or say any thing good about it till it is fixed. This is crazy not to have a better way to secure ones account. It is 2025 we need something. I'm the second person in are small guild to have it happen to them. it is crazy that this many ppl are getting hit with such a game ending problem.
I'm starting to get the feeling that nothing is being done here. In any case, hope is slowly but surely disappearing. I haven't played in 2 weeks because of this and the support is either completely overwhelmed or they don't care

I hope it catches one of the big streamers. Then perhaps there will be enough public reporting that they can no longer pretend to be deaf and mute.

They won't even acknowledge it because they don't have too. It's clearly an exploit within POE2, but GGG was relaxing on vacation while poe1 fans were all over this thread blaming the users who were hacked "it's overlays" "it's 3rd party sites" "your buying real money items" "your computer has a virus" and the excuses go on and on... Doesn't matter how many people post like you or I that state no 3rd party apps, no 3rd party sites.. you will still have people blame the users and protect GGG because they weren't hacked yet.

I have been emailing support for my 300 coins they sent to the wrong account that I paid for. I gave them both accounts. It has been 33 days with no fix, no help, clearly their customer support is non existent based on all the posts here of people who can't even login.

I hope they relaxed on vacation though.
