[PoE2] Keep crashing due to kernelbase.dll / 0x887a0005, 0006 errors

I had the issue for weeks, and I managed to fix it yesterday !

I did 3 modifications to my computer, I don't know which one fixed the issue :

1) Update the BIOS. This is a bit annoying to do, but mine was from 2023, even if I bought this computer in 2024 and they were supposed to update the BIOS ...
2) In the BIOS, I've set the memory frequency to "auto" (it was set to the default value of my memory, so in theory this shouldn't have changed anything)
3) I disabled the fast boot option

I hope this can help you to enjoy the game
I have the same isssue with POE and poe2 about kernelbase.dll, i have updated all my drivers, bios even reinstalled win11 23H2 and installed minimal apps and update drivers and still have the issue...
i had a bunch of kernel related errors after updating bios for 0x12b microcode (intel).

both wow and poe2 started crashing randomly a bit too often after said bios update.

turned out i had to change "cpu lite load" from [normal] to [intel's default] in the new bios from MSI.

havent had problems since.

i have no idea what that setting does tbh. lol

*i wouldve never figured it out myself but the errors in wow talked about ACCESS_VIOLATION and then i googled that and someone had the same issue in Fallout 76 and that was his fix. lucked out finding that video.

**i see a lot of amd enjoyers in the thread though.. if youre not using intel 13/14th gen and MSI bios this slice of life is probably useless lol

For those of you having the Kernel based error. I found a solution that worked for me. I have my CPU overclocked. I found another thread in a Marvel Rivals forum about running the "Intel Extreme Tuning Utility" to adjust some settings to address the same error they were receiving. Of course, this will only work for those with Intel CPUs.

I spent hours today trying everything from updating my BIOS to adjusting the page filing of my memory. Nothing worked and the game would crash within a minute every single time or just crash trying to login.

I had my "Performance Core Ratio" originally set to 55x. I lowered this down to 50x and I haven't had a single crash so far with an hour of gaming and several maps cleared. Hoping this might help anyone with an Intel CPU.

do you have to use the "" when you put it in or is it just the words
SOLVED SOLVED SOLVED !!!!!!

Guys, I know what the problem is!!!
I also had all your problems, everything crashed, I tried everything from disabling CPU cores to some kind of anti-crash programs.

The only thing that helps is to undervolt your CPU!!!!!

POE 2 is so poorly optimized that it overloads your CPU and simply shuts down during certain map loadings, delirium, etc., or portals into the city because it's overloaded.

I have a Ryzen 7 9800x3D.
Simply undervolt it by -20.
There are 1000 YouTube videos on how to do this, it's super easy and keeps POE 2 running stably, your CPU won't sound like an airplane, and you can do everything.

You are a legend!
I thought I had tried everything, last night I had 16 crashes in under 2 hours and was going insane. I've been getting crashes worse and worse for about 2 weeks now.

I installed Intel Extreme Tuning utility and my CPU (13th Gen i7-13700K) was running at 5.30 with a 53x multiplier.
I turned it down to 50x and haven't had a crash since! Fingers crossed this works until whatever is causing it in the game is resolved.
i am still crashing. freezes, does the blank loading screen, then puts me back in.
