Path of Exile 2 Early Access removed from my account
Hi, Ive been reading allot of players with similar issues as mine.
5 friends bought a key from same reseller, 2 of them (me included) received an error. My other friend is impatient and straight up bought another key. I am unable to do this I need my refund first. I answered these questions, problem is my reseller close a ticket with no reply in 72h. This happened for a second time since I did not receive a confirmation from GGG that my key has been revoked? Steam shows key activated as active, but POE2 has another authentication on their end so I am between STEAM/ Key reseller and GGG. This is a frustrating experience. --------------------------------- 1. If you obtained your early access through purchasing one of the Early Access packs, please also include the transaction ID of the purchase. This can usually be found alongside your receipt of payment provided to you by the payment processor you used.//// I provided all this information on my email send - 27 dec 2024, 20:20 with subject: Path of Exile 2 Early Access removed from my account// If you obtained your early access by redeeming a key, then the key's status may have been revoked if the original purchase was refunded or charged back. If this is the case, you may want to reach out to whoever you received the key from to check with them regarding the validity of your key. // see explanation above, my key reseller wants confirmation from GGG before refunding. I understand that this will create an impulse of requests, but IMO got robbed from playing with my friends on holidays, now missing the upcoming weekends. Last bumped on Jan 2, 2025, 2:47:53 AM

I'm terribly sorry, however we are unable to assist with keys purchased through third-parties. Players who have been affected by this must reach out to whomever the player received the key from to check with them regarding the status of their key.
These players can rest assured that their characters, items, and progress will remain as they are until their account is once again eligible to participate in Early Access. Last edited by Jacob_GGG#0000 on Jan 1, 2025, 4:47:31 PM

" Five friends knew how much the game cost on legitimate stores such as Steam, and instead decided to get a cheap copy from the same criminal who fraudulently purchased Steam keys using stolen credit card details. " You won't be getting regular customer service as you decided to buy dodgy keys on so-called 'grey market' websites. If you wanted such a safety net, you should have bought from a reputable company. " So you're surprised that the scammer you did business with... decided to scam you. I see. " When criminals make fraudulent purchases using stolen credentials, the company isn't just compelled to offer a full refund (incl. of money they had never received, such as payment processing fees). They're also slapped with a punitive fine, as chargebacks are an anti-fraud mechanism and there is a presumption of guilt - and the payment processors also want to incentivise company to minimise such transactions. So given that GGG are likely out of money because of you, I don't think they'll be terribly interested in your sob story. Next time buy from a genuine business. Criminals wouldn't bother if there wasn't a market for it. “Please understand that imposing strong negative views regarding our team on to other players when you are representing our most helpful forum posters is not appropriate.” — GGG 2022

" Thank you for taking your time to reply, I understand your point, in this case, the key was only $5 cheaper than the "legitimate price", and it was generated and activated through Grinding Gear Games themselves. I did not receive the 300 Early access Tokens. I don't investigate the companies that provide my food, groceries, electronics, or clothes – if they're able to operate legitimately, I can conclude they're not criminals. your input involves assumptions, and I'm simply seeking help, not judgment. I appreciate your input, but I feel it's based on assumptions rather than facts. Since the game is in early access, this situation presents an opportunity for Grinding Gear Games to investigate and potentially revise their key activation methods to prevent similar issues in the future. I intentionally omitted the reseller's name to avoid unhelpful speculation and focus on the core issue. My reason to purchase from a known reseller offering other various payment methods are perfectly legitimate. However, Grinding Gear Games' system appears vulnerable to fraudulent key abuse. I'm stuck because Steam won't help while the key is active, even though it's unusable in-game. This leaves me with three companies (the reseller, Steam, and Grinding Gear Games) potentially avoiding responsibility. Something needs to change to protect consumers in this situation. [/quote] |

" Please read my post, you need to verify that indeed my key has been revoked. The reason is not specified why my key is not valid. This key has been activated on GGG official site! |
