Tone down burning ground mod on waystone
Burning ground is waaaay over tuned right now.
There are more patches of burning ground than there are of normal ground in a lot of maps. The patches themselves do far too much damage. I suggest either reducing the amount of patches significantly or reducing the DoT values. Last bumped on Jan 24, 2025, 12:38:06 PM

Yeah, burning ground is pretty rough. Dousing charm helps a little.
Narrow paths and most of the ground being burning ground is annoying to play through for sure. |

Really?
I have the exact opposite experience. I was a little wary of trying a first burning ground on the T2 waystone I found, as I'm used to PoE1's burning ground and found the damage to be fully negligible, other than if I needed to recharge ES, I needed to be mindful to avoid it for a few seconds. But during general travel and most fights, I could ignore it almost entirely. Where you running higher tier versions and the scaling is outta whack? |

And for some builds it's far more terrible than you could imagine.

" I agree. In caves or city maps you have more burning ground than you have normal ground. Also the damage is insane. With 79% fire res I`d expect to have more fire damage mitigation. The only way to play this game is go full dps+blink and forget about defenses or tactics. |

" I have around -79% fire res and go full dps, it doesn't work well with burning ground either :) |

They need to cut down on the amount of damage fields in general.
