The Top 10 Things That Needed Nerf

These things should be heavily nerf'd to the ground. They prevent player deaths too easily.

1. Energy Shield: Too effective, should be as useless as armor and life.

2. All range skills: They are too safe to use during boss fights.

3. Herald of ice: It allows players to mass shatter mobs, making corpse explosions and some of the death effects unable to trigger. Spirit cost is too cheap as well.

4. Totems and Minions: The spirit cost of minions is too cheap. Players end up with too many of them late game, making fights too trivial.

5. Movement speed on boots: How dare players to out run hard to see one-shot aoes.

6. Curses: They enable players doing too much damage to mobs.

7. Shock effect: This ailment provides too much damage. Everyone and their moms are playing lightning base builds.

8. Freeze effect: Melee builds rely too much on this ailment to safely dps. They should be risking their lives fighting on the front line.

9. Logging out within the map: It is not intended for players to log out in the map when they noticed they are about to die, and still keep the access of their active maps. The instance should be immediately deleted the moment players log out as if they are already dead.

10. Dodge: dodge should be used with precision and timing to avoid death. A cd of 20s is needed so players can feel the weight and punishment.

Since GGG wants players to feel the pressure of staying alive, punishing death, and rage of getting one-shot. These are the nerfs that must be done.

I believe GGG wants PoE2 to be the slow down version of PoE1 and the difference is that slow down part is solely on the player side.

yup makes sense... lets nerf the things that are actually some what good in the game to the ground yup TOTALLY MAKES SENSE what youi want basic attack the entire game?

Agreed. Also buff bosses and reduce drop rates. Game is too easy, even for casuals who only play 40 hours a week.
what about those crazy invocation builds? And how about some negative magic find modifiers LOL.

Maps layout are too easy, need to change all maps to Mire
You forget about "Cast on X" meta gem and spell. "Cast on X" need at least 10 second cooldown because it promotes automation, and spell cost way too less of mana. Spells need to have cost based on total percentage of mana pool instead.

Minions also need nerf. Because it also promotes somekind of automation. Cut minion damage to half, limit the amount of total minions of player can have to 5, and add a command skill so those minion-mancer need to also do something to deal damage.

Why stop with boots movement speed? Cut all mods number to half but not the tiers.

Martial weapon also deal too much damage, they need to reduce the flat damage bonuses to half, crit chance 5% max and hard-coded attack speed to 1 attack per second for two hander (including bows / crossbows) and 1,5 attack per second for one hander (2 attacks for dual-wield)

Blink gem spirit cost is too low, should be 200 and its CD can't be reduced below 5 seconds with baseline 10 seconds cooldown. Need to add at least 10% of mana pool as mana cost.

Don't stop with Herald of Ice, nerf all heralds. Herald of Thunder bolts are too much, should be max 2 bolts buff and can only hit targets within 2 meters of you. Herald of Ash shouldn't ignite based on overkill because it will make clearing mobs faster, it should only explode corpses without any added damage.

Stun and heavy stun build up also need to be harder, the game become too easy to be able to stunlock enemy. All enemies should have hard-coded invulnerability to all kind of cc chain, with 10 seconds internal cooldown.

What else did I miss ?

Mash the clean
Leveling is too easy.

Death should delevel characters to the previous level if they had less than 10% xp.

Remove leech of any kind from the game, it promotes lazy play.

Add durability to items that cannot be repaired and the item dissapears once it hits 0, promoting smart permanent gearing.
