"Shader uses incorrect vertex layout"
Same problem. No fixes have worked. Reinstalled completely -- still happens once every 20 mins or so. I have updated drivers, ran the PackCheck.exe utility, deleted all texture caches including DX12 and Vulkan (crashes happen in both).
Game unplayable at this point. 2025/02/09 08:19:30 591921234 93b1b556 [CRIT Client 34680] [RENDER] Shader uses incorrect vertex layout (shader: 0x00000018 mesh: 0x00000008) Signature: "Metadata/EngineGraphs/base.fxgraph" "Metadata/EngineGraphs/GpuParticles/render_default.fxgraph" "Metadata/EngineGraphs/GpuParticles/Conversion/render_downscale.fxgraph" "Metadata/EngineGraphs/GpuParticles/Conversion/lock_mode.fxgraph" "Metadata/EngineGraphs/GpuParticles/Conversion/render_gravity.fxgraph" "Metadata/EngineGraphs/GpuParticles/Conversion/face_camera.fxgraph" "Metadata/EngineGraphs/GpuParticles/render_transform.fxgraph" "Metadata/EngineGraphs/GpuParticles/render_flip_normal.fxgraph" "Metadata/Effects/Graphs/General/BasicColour.fxgraph" "Metadata/Effects/Graphs/General/Ambient.fxgraph" "Metadata/Effects/Graphs/General/FlipbookOld.fxgraph" "Metadata/Effects/Graphs/General/DarkenTex.fxgraph" System: - CPU: Intel i9-14900K - GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER - GPU Driver: 32.0.15.7216 (Release date: 1/25/2025) - RAM: 98GB - OS: Windows 11 Pro 64-bit (Build 22631) - Display: 5120x1440 @ 240Hz Faulting application name: PathOfExile.exe, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x67a1919d Faulting module name: nvgpucomp64.dll, version: 32.0.15.7216, time stamp: 0x6795dbea Exception code: 0xc0000409 Fault offset: 0x0000000000114539 Faulting process id: 0x0x8778 Faulting application start time: 0x0x1DB7B0E3484D53C Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Grinding Gear Games\Path of Exile 2\PathOfExile.exe Faulting module path: C:\Windows\system32\DriverStore\FileRepository\nv_dispi.inf_amd64_1e8724cced6e93d4\nvgpucomp64.dll DX11 crashes the same shader: 2025/02/09 08:50:10 593760812 93b1b556 [CRIT Client 27652] [RENDER] Shader uses incorrect vertex layout (shader: 0x00000018 mesh: 0x00000008) Signature: "Metadata/EngineGraphs/base.fxgraph" "Metadata/EngineGraphs/GpuParticles/render_default.fxgraph" "Metadata/EngineGraphs/GpuParticles/Conversion/render_downscale.fxgraph" "Metadata/EngineGraphs/GpuParticles/Conversion/lock_mode.fxgraph" "Metadata/EngineGraphs/GpuParticles/Conversion/render_gravity.fxgraph" "Metadata/EngineGraphs/GpuParticles/Conversion/face_camera.fxgraph" "Metadata/EngineGraphs/GpuParticles/render_transform.fxgraph" "Metadata/EngineGraphs/GpuParticles/render_flip_normal.fxgraph" "Metadata/Effects/Graphs/General/BasicColour.fxgraph" "Metadata/Effects/Graphs/General/FlipbookOld.fxgraph" "Metadata/Effects/Graphs/General/DisableLighting.fxgraph" "Metadata/Effects/Graphs/General/DarkenTex.fxgraph" But for different reasons: Faulting application name: PathOfExile.exe, version: 0.0.0.0, time stamp: 0x67a1919d Faulting module name: nvgpucomp64.dll, version: 32.0.15.7216, time stamp: 0x6795dbea Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x000000000159a313 Faulting process id: 0x0x6C04 Faulting application start time: 0x0x1DB7B1116F11772 Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Grinding Gear Games\Path of Exile 2\PathOfExile.exe Faulting module path: C:\Windows\System32\DriverStore\FileRepository\nv_dispi.inf_amd64_1e8724cced6e93d4\nvgpucomp64.dll |

Still getting this same issue resulting in the game crashing frequently. Often crashes before even logging in, sometimes crashes during gameplay or changing zones. Very frustrating.

I started having this issue after the update and only in Apex of Filth. I've tried verifying file integrity in Steam, separate instances, updating drivers and am currently reinstalling.
