GGG IS FINISHED AND ALL GGG DEFENDERS DESERVED THIS!!

"
What is more toxic than click baiting a title and then shaming anyone who has an opinion on it.

COKE IS BETTER THAN PEPSI AND IF YOU AGREE OR DISAGREE YOU ARE TOXIC AAAAAGGGHHHH!

To be fair, I cha nged the title multiple times. Before, it had no context at all. But you're right, I shouldn't use specific topics as click bait.
yeah back to life from gaming
You lost all credibility in your first sentence.
Nobody cares what you think.
It isn't your topic anymore.

Forget the title above, it was completely clickbait and if you read this, it probably worked, because you didn't know what this thread was about, but you still clicked on it, just because the whole title is written very provocative and invites people who are either "against" or "in favour of" GGG.

It's sad to see that threads, that have strong provocative titles and content, often with little to none constructive feedback, generate more attention then actual well written feedback threads. This leads to a more and more toxic writing-behavior and in return lessens our impact on the game, because (passive-)aggressive posts often contain alot of emotion, but seldom suggestions on how to make something better.

If you read through some of these hot topics, it's very often not about the game anymore. People are offended from each other and try to defend their point of view by attacking others. Here and there someone tries to make a sound argument, but especially these posts get either no response or are also attacked.

Is the PoE community really that toxic? Or can it do better? I wonder.

Haha, don't worry. You're not the only one :D
Apoligies this is abit preachy
im older you would call me gen X personally i dont like labels or label myself but whatever right
there have always been idiots but this explosion of toxic behaviour is a more recent thing and im sorry to say i think it comes from the younger generation

you see it everywhere in society not only games, disagree with someone or hold a different viewpoint and you will get ad hominen attacks such as racist etc. i see this manifest in games with labels such as tourist, git gut etc. i mean as if you need 1000s of hours in a game or be a pro to have a vaild opinion, i see some streamers use those terms..monkey see monkey do..

I think the newer generations are just more entitled than others "spoilt" if you like and it will only get worse because of social media (just look at tiktok)
I work with young guys that have the attention span of a gnat, cannot get their mobile phones out of there hands, i mean every second even in the middle of a conversation they will constantly chack it..wtf is going through their minds?

anyways maybe turn into a rant so i'l end there. thanks for reading and thank fuck i am getting on in years...

Haha, got me with the clickbait, I’ll admit it

But hey, let's not forget this is still early access, not a grand finale. It's like walking into a restaurant during construction and complaining the soup isn't hot yet. Bro, the stove isn't even plugged in

At least we can already play with what’s there. It's like GGG said, "Here, have this half-built rollercoaster, just mind the missing tracks and occasional flying loot goblin"

Also, credit where it's due. GGG has acknowledged a bunch of the feedback. They're literally knee-deep in the code dungeon, sweating mana potions, trying to turn this beast into something amazing. It's a work in progress, not a lost cause

So yeah, we can do better. Less pitchfork, more feedback. Less salt, more seasoning, you know. Let's keep it spicy but not toxic
