It isn't just the quest...It's the ability to engage with endgame at an appropriate and desired challenge level.

The game presents an overall environment of famine when it comes to character building, and for the most part I don't really mind that. BUT I do fundamentally disagree with extension of that barrier to availability of the gateway (waystones) to engaging with power/level-appropriate content.

The currency used to craft maps is already limited, which inherently limits the number of viable waystones which are available to a character. Waystone famine essentially forces use of that in-game currency on insignificant content (lower-level waystones)... Did I mention in-game currency? Yes, but I haven't mentioned the player's time, a far more valuable currency that is being effectively wasted in running maps of insignificant level.

They said they nerfed base waysone drop rates to compensate for the bosses spawning more often and having higher waysone drops

It's comical to me that they are trying to gate people from playing the game with waystones at all.

Maybe it's deep psychology.. the maps are boring, aoe grind is boring, so they make earning waystones be the challenge that distracts people from the boredom?

I don't have trouble with waystone sustain. I have trouble with fun sustain

Every map I've walked out of has left me with at least 1 T15, a couple T13-14 and a bunch of others I generally don't pick up (I'll take some lower, if they have the right deli mods on them). That's with NO boss.

If you aren't able to self sustain, then you aren't juicing enough/correctly. If you can't survive, you're doing content that is harder than you're ready to do.


If you don't have an issue doesn't mean that it doesn't exist.

Are you upgrading the maps with alts/transmutes and using your precursor tablets? It’s not like you’ll be swimming in maps but you should be getting enough to sustain

T15 boss dropped 2 T8s last night 😂 as I stood there in disbelief some random delayed crap he cast before he died appeared and one shot me. 😂
Trying to up your few waystones to 350%+ usually ends up being like "40% attack speed +50% damage 50% cold damage" and you get insta frozen with whatever hit (do the charms even work since I see no difference?).

So you end up either trying to slog through it just to get maybe 1 waystone that you brick again, or just copying some broken unkillable streamer spec, because obviously they are balancing the whole game around few specs that do roughly 20x more damage than others.

I don't understand, what is the reason for actively trying to stop any progress for players? If we run out of waystones, what other thing there is to do? Run low tier maps for no reward and zero challenge? Why even increase the boss nodes if you lower the waystone drops the same amount?
As a test I ran the 8 t13 maps I had saved. All with waystone drop between 120-305%

All possible atlas passive for waystone chance / +tier chance. Couldn't say on towers as I didn't do everything in the same catchment area. A few bosses but I wasn't targeting them specifically

It took 12 maps to completely drain my T13 pool.I had more T15 drop than T13 or 14. T11 was the most common drop.

At-tier waystone sustain below T15 does not exist and I have been experiencing this since about T8 because I have not just raced to 15 as quickly as possible
This is crazy, I get 3+ T15 for every single map I run and bosses still always drop 2-4 maps. I need more stash tabs I have so many maps dropping, they are going to nerf it if anything, it is crazy how many are dropping now.
