Waste of Time- Divine Orbs
" What do divine orbs really have to do with gear progression in SSF though? I do agree the current state of crafting options ain't it for SSF especially, but low divine drop rates seem perfectly reasonable to me. |

" lmao... poe1 and poe2 from what I understand share the same drop rate for this item. However people are starting to think it might be a worse droprate in poe2. so they're saying on average a person who played 5k in poe1 didn't see a single mirror. |

" One must actually get drops to do that, you realize that right??? How actually kind of condescending you sound in this post... The Odd's of this I want to know the Drop rate for Divine Orbs... Others found 3 before completing the campaign, I did 2 PC play throughs and ran probably 100 maps for my 1st DIVINE ORB... WTF DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND ABOUT THIS?? I can't do the higher maps to get the better drops because I need the gear to upgrade which takes 100s of exalted orbs or divine which I get NIETHER... something is fucked up about the RNG if legit playing this game takes that many fucking hours for 1 drop of currency, not even a cool rare unique.... which I have an entire page full of unique drops that do not sell for shit....I want minions I want to play Witch, I do not want to do some dumbass streamers build that you press one button and stand there; I don't get how or why anyone thinks that if "fun" if that is how GGG intends the game, I probably won't continue playing then, just a waste of a "waste of time"... I can't even get the dumbass streamers build CAUSE IT TAKES LIKE 100 EXALTED ORBS.... |

" Mirrors of Kalandra exist in Path the First, friend. Now. Let's analyze. Divines are not the "main currency" of this game. They're a luxury currency, and they're dropped and priced as such. The "main" currencies of this game are the Upgrade path Four: Transmutes, Augs, Regals, and Exalts. Those are the currencies used to progress an item to a "finished" state, and the ones most essential for most activities. They drop okayish to meh-ish, depending on whether one is an over-entitled SSF player or a regular player. Exalts are the de facto standard trade currency in PoE2 because they're the most commonly used currency of the Core 4. You use each of the others exactly once, but then you need three exalts to finish the process. Exalts are also the only ones that still end up used after someone shortcuts the process with an alch. They also don't have shards you can build up to a'la Transmutes or Regals. They're the thing everybody needs to do basic stuff, so they get traded. Getting a divine drop is a lucky hit. It's not intended to be a common, recurring, predictable thing, and if it was? Divines would be worth a bare fraction of what they are and nobody would care about them. Their scarcity is why you can trade in one divine for an absurd number of exalts, then go hit up the Five Exalt Market and get basic mapping kit for most any character with an hour or two of trade hunting. That's how the game has always played, since long before there was a 2 at the end and you traded the div for a fat heap of chaos instead of a fat heap of exalts. The dry streaks always suck. Sorry yours lasted as long as it did. |

" That makes sense, poe1 5k hrs, but that is a rare item that dupes gear... should take 400 hours for 1 divine orb...IDGAF who you are, when I hear players saying they got 3 before end of campaign...OBVIOUSLY not that rare of a drop... |
|
" I get first at 80-90. On Probation Any%

" I have a hard time believing you have gotten mirror drops plural but still only 2 divines... I will repeat I wonder what the OP will say when he learns about Mirrors :-) |

" I call Bullshit, then crafting needs better odds of making gear for your build not just RNG that bricks what was decent item is now worthless junk... OR very least let us "stack up" 100 Augments = and Exalted or something the currency Exhange blows... The basic upgrades cost many many exalted orbs or at least 1 divine orb... And sorry they can't be that rare of a drop when I hear ppl, mainly streamers, saying they have 100 Divine orbs worth of gear......Forget selling anything, doesn't work unless you get lucky I have 2million gold for what? Can't use it on anything, oh a few 1000k gold to move some passives around, yipee... Every Currency should stack into an upgraded currency some how and it doesn't I have IDK 500+ each of Augments and Transmutes for what? map keys 100+ ran for what?? I get fucked on breaches every time... I can do mirror and the other expedition etc... Basically unless you cowtow and follow some dumbass "meta" build to the T and buy all their exact stat'd gear you can't do shit in this game...I went from clearing 11's to I can barely do 6's if I want to even attempt the Breaches and Expeditions etc...Oh you either choose Map Keys or Rarity either way you get fucked... Sorry but most videos I see of people clearing these T15's they're not running Stacked Maps keys they're doing plan grey maps...while I was doing FULL STACKED map keys T1-T11 every map key I completed was a Gold level key 4+mods on each key...netted me NOTHING!!! SO I respec'd and here I am now had to basically start all over...Cause its either RESISTANCE GEAR or RARITY GEAR you can't have both... |

" Sounds like you just don't completely appreciate how statistics of rare drops work when a million people are playing a game. Rate doesn't mean impossible. Not rare doesn't mean guaranteed. Some people have found a Mirror in the campaign, most of us have never seen one. I don't think we know the exact drop rate of divines but it's a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of a percent. Which, yes, means some people will get 3 or more in the campaign, and sometimes people will see 0 until level 95. My point is that there's a ton of drops happening and you've almost definitely picked up or completely ignored a lot of items you could have been converting into currency. I'm not trying to be condescending or judgemental about this at all. It's an extremely common pitfall that many players, including myself, fall into when starting PoE (1 or 2). We get ourselves hyper focused on the "currency" items and fail to realize how much currency we could have if we liquidated a lot of the stuff that's just taking up space. If you just have nothing of value, that's why I listed some of the strategies you can use to change that. Just casually doing maps without a strategy isn't going to be particularly profitable. Trial of Chaos is one of the easiest things to start farming. 0 setup, just get a 10 trials Inscribed Ultimatum and make it to the end. 1Ex to buy the entry item if you don't already have them, ands a guaranteed 10Ex or 25Ex drop from the third boss (not trialmaster). Also have a chance to find the rarity soul cores that sell for 3D. Or you can do Trial of the Sekhemas. Buy some 1Ex honor resist relics to hit 75% resistance cap and you can pretty consistently get valuable jewels or relics from it. Do ritual and focus on getting good ritual tablets in your towers to look for omens and invitations to sell for 6D+. Do breach and use breach tablets in clumps of towers and sell the breachstones. Do the breachstones if you can kill the boss to get your points and try to get the unique glove drop. Don't do expedition... lol. Delirium doesn't seem really worth investing in to me yet either, unless you're running the simulacrums. Don't waste your time clicking on strongbox lol. Did you know white sapphire rings, heavy belts, and stellar amulets sell for 3Ex+ each? There a lot to learn but I promise it is possible to farm currency. There's even trading for profit, or even certain crafting strategies like vaaling cheap uniques that can generate currency. Just killing monsters and doing maps is never going to be the best way to make profit based on the entire history of PoE1. |
