I was basically commenting on the fact players always say they want more frequent updates until they play a game where it actually happens and they're stuck not knowing if the build they run will still be valid next week
I did think that was the direction you were going with your post....but it didn't quite read that way, at least not obviously.
Yes I agree....not only that but they also seem to think (or even expect) that future changes will ALWAYS be in their favor which is just silly.
Starting anew....with PoE 2

Very much a monkey's paw reaction - not even getting in to the fact that a human being has to actually make those changes
how often do you want to spend half your gold on a respec? even in some fantasy land where these changes don't have nerfs, you still need to respec to get to nodes to actually take advantage of the buffs.
new buff comes out: PIN now has an effect where it doubles your damage... is your ranger specced for pin buildup? do you have 9 spare passive points available(assuming you took the most common ranger path to grab the quiver nodes)?
no? that'll be an hour of your time to rethink your tree, and 100k gold
You make a couple million gold mapping per night...

I agree. Tuning classes, skills and items should be independent from leagues' cadence.
