POE 1 a bit long topic to get into??
" Poe has almost always been about the temporary leagues what do you mean? It’s only recently that they’ve adopted the longer league cycles. It used to Be every 3 months approximately with new content, economy reset, balance ch ages, new skills, etc., playing the same league for 5-6 months with an economy on life support is just not is. Sure I could go and play ssf or standard but the majority of poe players want a new league |

" ah you're one of those guys. i will agree MOST players NOW love temp leagues. but POE was originally designed to focus on standard/core. a lot of people seem to have forgotten that. temp leagues was introduced later into the game on release but was more of a beta test of new mechanics to be added to standard. also if you play poe2, a lot of players complain about not getting upgrades and lack crafting options. that was how poe1 was like. it was not temp league friendly. that was how diablo2 was like too. it was to the point MOST players prefered to just play on standard as it was difficult getting currency/gear. back then players could reach level 85 and NOT drop a single exalt. back then players could sink 30k fuse and NOT get a 6L nor was there a deterministic way to force 6L. i ll re-emphasize. i agree that now the community is more enthusiastic towards temp leagues, but that was not how the game originally developed. and most players also avoided temp league "back then". i was here since open beta. me and most of my friends avoided temp leagues until talisman as talisman was the first league that we jumped into as the talismans were a great source of power back then that would empower our standard characters a great deal. in fact, most of my friends and me skip temp leagues if we see it doesnt give us any significant power to our standard character. settlers was my only exception where i played because melee got buffed and i wanted to see how good it was. talk to more open beta players. there definitely are some open beta players who prefer temp leagues. but the numbers of standard players greatly outnumber temp leaguers. " some folk? thats how the vast majority of people play poe |

" you are right CURRENTLY, but this is exactly what i mean. you have the idea that poe1 has ALWAYS been centered around temp leagues. it was not ALWAYS that way. and it frustrates me a little that somehow people like you always assumed it was this way since launch. [Removed by Support]
