Mace Skills - Unpopular opinion

I actually think that a lot of mace skills are doing well in the endgame. For example, boneshatter, seismic cry, resonating shield, hammer of the gods - these are all performing super well or maybe even over performing. Earthshatter with upheaval is doing great. You can attack from afar and support it with martial tempo or go for attack speed on the tree. This skill is getting essentially 80% more damage from one support skill and the overlapping explodes are absolutely amazing. If you then spec into the exerted attack nodes then you can also stack endurance charges as a way to either get double damage with infernal cry or double damage with seismic cry and getting shockwaves afterwards. Either way, this one skill is able to kill rares and bosses.

Everything else.....eh? I think earthquake and sunder have promise even if they are slow. I am probably not building molten strike properly but it is not the numbers on the damage that prevent me from using it, I really dislike that the skill has a mandatory animation lock that literally makes your character step forwards for a ranged skill. Let me stand still or let the animation make my character step away from the monsters and then maybe I will try to figure out how to use it. Until then I will continue on with earthshatter.

With all of that being said, mace skills are pretty good. I think that other players might benefit from adding extra skills onto their hot bar or figuring out a clear set up vs a killing a rare setup. Fast clear skills are for white and magic mobs. Heavy hitting but slow skills are for rares. I do not need to care about stun buildup for white and blue mobs. I do need to care for stun buildup on rares. One skill does not do both of these things. I use three skills, one for stun buildup, boneshatter for map clear, and one skill for taking advantage of stun windows. One fast, one medium, one slow heavy hitter that gets empowered by seismic and infernal cry.

This is definitely not popular and I get it that warrior is under played, but I would not say that mace skills ACROSS ALL MACE SKILLS are in a bad spot. I think certain mace skills are in a bad spot and either need a mechanical change or maybe a numerical damage change. Please provide a compelling reason to use a one handed mace compared to going giants blood.

Other than that, warrior feels pretty good.
