7th/8th Ascendency Points Should be Challenging

But the Ascendency Trees aren't setup for them to feel that impactful. It's fine if I need to hit lvl 85+ and buy/obtain relatively great gear as long as getting those skill points feels worth the effort.

Does anyone else feel this way? Right now you only need 4 points to reach the most impactful nodes, and you'll have 6 before this final trial. So surely the final trial should be more rewarding than just 2 more skill points in the same tree?

How about a special passive you *can't* spend points to obtain in each Ascendency class? But once you have mastered your class by completing the hardest trial you not only get points 7 and 8 but you automatically also get this 9th node that is unobtainable any other way.

It is just like POE1, some builds have a super easy time with trials, and some builds cannot do them at all. All they did was nerf trap damage until *most* builds could do it. Its how things are done here. I am still not convinced all this stuff is permanent. I think face and coin are mearly placeholders for the real trial, which will probably be even harder.
Most players haven't even gotten their 3rd ascendancy, and even more will never get their 4th. I suspect people will revert to paying for carries. Is this what GGG really intended? It's bad game design and needs to be reworked.

Im agree with anything related to harder challenge for 4th ascendant service

So i can set a higher price for my trial service, imagine paying 2 divine per person because the boss are super hard to beat.....yummy
Agreed. It feels weird right now, as I'd love to get my final 4 points, but also... it doesn't feel like the end of the world without them. So I would like to get them, but the sheer pita it is to make the systems work means I will never do them. I'd rather quit than ask, let alone pay (even in fake currency) for a rush.
The problem is not about the Trial

Trial is fine, both of them

The real problem is the Class and Ascendancy Skills and Trees.
some of them have very impactful nodes that 8th point is so rewarding, while some are just need 4 points and have literally no reasons to rush for 6th and 8th at all since their notes are not that beneficial than any passive tree or gears
lets not forget, nobody wants to spend 30min on getting all the way through the Sanctum trial then lose on last boss.

and having to do the Ultimatum trial 3 times just to try the last boss?

at least poe1 Labs were nowhere near this time investment.

Absolutely, yes. For my witchhunter, the 4th ascendancy points are just "nice to have" as they wouldn't change much, so the effort/reward relation is really bad.

The whole ascendancy system needs to be changed to fix this, e. g. by binding the ascendancy nodes to the trial level so that the best ones require the 4th.
What's the point of these points when you can only get them by the time you're largely done with the current season/session?

Same with lvl 90+. They are both currently designed to not really exist in the actual gameplay.
4th one being difficult is fine. Pretty much every 4th ascendancy pick is a luxury and not mandatory. Even in PoE 1.
