This. The only things that PoE 2 does better are Graphics and sound.

In every other aspect, PoE 1 is LIGHT YEARS AHEAD, and tbh its graphics and sound are not bad at all.

This is what I've been thinking since I saw the update stream. On it's own merits, I don't hate POE 2, but the fact that it seems to be killing POE makes me wish it had never happened (and that I hadn't supported it).

The stream made it clear that the things that make POE my favorite game aren't likely to make their way into POE 2. In POE, I can drop in for an hour (which is often all I've got) and make significant improvements to a character, a piece of gear, my atlas, etc. In POE 2, my character is exactly the same after an hour, just a few tedious maps "richer" (and, if I'm unlucky, maybe a few xp lighter). After watching the stream, I think this is "as intended".

Give me my game back, please.

POE2 so much better, so much more fun.

I feel the same. It feels so backwards compared to the ARPG issues that PoE 1 solved. Now PoE 2 has 1 billon things needed to make it fun later. Though nothing is going to get me to log back into poe 2. It just has no fun factor for me at all.

POE1 is currently the slightly better game, but only because of maturity and content. The fundamentals of POE2, particularly the feel of the combat, are so much better. I have no doubt POE2 will surpass POE1 once content and polish are added.
