That said, have you tried changing what region you connect to?
Making sure all drivers are updated? (This is a big one do to how much is often going on in maps).
Drivers have absolutely nothing to do with this happening when I join a map or it being sometimes fixed when I reset the map. This is 100% on the end server that hosts the maps.
Then you are lost, sorry.

Anyways fk it.. maybe this is a sign that's it's time to take my money elsewhere. Games are supposed to be fun. Losing hours of work from experience loss to issues like this is absolutely maddening. The opposite of why I paid money for this game in the first place.
Get your sht together GGG, because your causing me to lose mine.

4 hours work GONE because of 4 deaths in 30 minutes. This isn't the first day I've had ruined from lagg either.. this has become normal for POE. I don't have issues with any other online based stuff or games.
I would easily be 2 or 3 levels higher if I didn't lagg die constantly.. at this rate, in the 90's, it's going to be impossible to advance in this game
I'll state again POE has more going on in maps then any other game on Market, it's a resource hog, so much so that extremely juiced maps(waystones) in POE1 could actually kill your computer outright if you pushed it to hard.
If your determined to think it's on GGG's end, you will never find a solution, and this will forever be a problem for you, and whoever else is struggling.
Do you not understand the problem or what I've been saying? When you rejoin the map, it still has the same number of things going on and drains resources the same. This is not hardware related. The issue comes and goes when you join or rejoin the map. This is server related.

Also.. if that is your understanding of it, then don't you think removing that much experience is a bit harsh when so many people experience this issue? IS it ok to piss off that many people, if they know their game is such a resource hog and cause many problems like this for many people, maybe they should fix the punishment for when it happens??
Also.. not POE 1, talking about POE2.

I do understand, this happened in POE1 as well, relogging is resetting the background calculations that are going on while in maps, as you clear the map lag diminishes or goes away outright as there is less going on.
This was a major issue for a lot of players during Affliction league, as many average or below average players suddenly had access to high end juiced maps, lag was extremely bad, relogging could often fix this. The issue wasn't on GGG's end, it was 100% player side.
The likely hood this is a player side issue is far more likely then it's a GGG one, as again I've played more hours then probably 90% of the entire playerbase, and I have near zero lag, even when running juiced maps. If this was a server issue, I would have experienced lag as you described at least once, if not more times over my time played.

I didn't notice any lag, are you talking about frame rate?
The game outright freezes for several seconds or becomes so choppy you can barely move. Resetting the map most often works, so this isn't an end user computer quality problem and it isn't just on my end as resetting going in/out of maps either fixes teh problem or not.
So you think this happens to all of us?
It doesn't.
Search the forum as there have been plenty of suggested things to try but I guess you don't want to hear that so...rant on

Yeah it's not happening to me, some stuff causes frame rate loss, the game is not optimized I can give you that but that's about it. I'd recommend to at least change server see how it does even if you say that it's on their end because it fix itself with reloading the map.

Never had lag issues with this game, except for rare situations where my own internet connection went downhill. All of my friends don't have any problems either. If over 90% of the community is able to play the game without much issues, then I doubt it's the games fault.

Only time I've seen lag is when I group with a minion infernalist. First time their minions swarm and firewalls start popping up I lag a bit. Then it stops until I close the game, open it again in the future, and rejoin with someone who has a lot going on.
Change your settings. Change everything to the lowest. Bottom it out. Give that a shot.
