Why is trading so bad? Because the game is about gambling rather than crafting.
GGG doesn't want you to craft; you must find your precious loot or trade. Why? Because you are going to play longer. Bots will always be going as long as they have that useless currency system (Currency Tab) and Trade Through website that they brought from PoE 1. They don't really know how to find a balance between crafting, trading and finding a lot. If they learned something from PoE 1 they would made a better system than PoE 1, but instead, they made it worse. If this was a first game like PoE 1 - I would completely understand the situation. But this is PoE 2 - Even in a beta version, suppose a better solution than nothing. My opinion is based on the PoE 1 and the PoE 2 games. At the moment, I stopped playing because I was not excited to find loot in this game. I like challenges, but at some point, they become boring. Atlas map was fun for a while, but I got bored quickly. It feels like it doesn't have much purpose in doing them. It is good for players who don't need any innovation and love a lot of trash from loot. |

- chiming in on page one post about bro who never logs has 1000s of divs - theres a guy on POE1 and now 2 - Jenubu I think his name is, the dude has his own website where he sells items and then he also sells currency under another - for real money too, not just in game, they know this and they do nothing, it's quite hilarious. OP was raging but tbh it's very factful but it'll never change sadly. |

The millisecond any human lists currency that undercuts the thousands of bots' prices, it's instantly bought out. Anything that's lower than the bots, they buy instantly, then they completely corner the market, incrementally increasing the prices. This is why Ex:Div ratio will not stop going up. It's not humans doing it, it's bots and RMT farms.
We can expect Ex:Div to be 600:1 before long. I'm struggling to come up with new goals to keep me playing this game.

I just wish they would implement an in game auction house. I know they seem to like the current system because it makes it more difficult to trade but as a new player to POE in general with POE2 it just seems really bad.

" owning items is not against tos. you presume they are not owned legitimately, what reason do you have to think they are cheating other than the person owns a lot of items? people are saying the account is online all the time, is it a shop front for a collection of extremely rich players all selling and mirror servicing their best items through 1 central account so that they individually dont have to be always logged in? maybe they pay the guy a fee for running the shop and being online every waking hour? maybe he doesnt own any of those items. I love all you people on the forums, we can disagree but still be friends and respect each other :)
