PoE 1 has a bright future. This is a short-term setback.
I just logged in after almost 2 months off and first reaction was:
"Wait, theres no more poe 1 forum?" Took me about 10 secs to find it... So yeah I dont really share the vision of a bright future for a game when I login and cant even tell if it still exists right away |

Settlers was the best league in poe history, and I've been playing since 2012. Gold, respecs, vendor gambles, currency exchange are all amazing changes derived from PoE2. Each game has a separate vision, but they are mutually beneficial. To say there is no hope when Mark and the team just gave us Settlers is melodrama. Nothing more. It reeks of softcore trade perspective, raging for an economy reset.
A full calendar year without a PoE 1 league hurts. No doubt. But when Mark gets back in the saddle after 0.2.0, we'll get back on track. It's a gargantuan task to launch a new game. I manage software releases that pale in comparison to the size of what these guys release. I have no clue how they do it. Remember, GGG are the guys who gave us leagues and mainstreamed "seasonal content" in arpgs. Diablo didn't even have it. We should give them a slight reprieve on missing a season. They've delivered for 10+ years. |

" This is a nice optimistic statement and I appreciate it even if I don't believe it! |

While I may be new to POE it baffles me the amount of whining going on. Until the delay of the new league started the same people whining were praising them. At the current moment they have only missed 1 league schedule since they started and with any luck they will miss two at most. People on here stating how hurt and betrayed they are is ludicrous. It’s a game, if not happy in its current state just take a break until the new content arrives. It’s that simple.

he invested so many support packs into poe 1 he is doing everything he can to defend this 7 months long league that was divided into necro-settler league and settler league.
