Did anyone else expect some good news?
Did anyone else expect some good news following up on the poe1 delay or just me?
Still no roadmap, no map stash, no balance changes, no info on anything We get more videos and posts from ggg apologizing for things than about game content Last bumped on Jan 31, 2025, 4:20:43 PM

Expect some patience bro. When they first came out with PoE 1 they barely had a 4 acts done and no endgame whatsoever. Within 2 years they released a full 10 act campaign and were working on the first league mechanics.

I wasn't expecting any news at all tbh.
The game is still a work in progress, not a fully released live-service game. They probably don't want to create a timeline of when to expect what because game development is chaotic. I'd rather be left peacefully in the dark then being told something like... "Druids out in 2 weeks! oh wait, we just broke it. ok 3 weeks- wait what? why does the bear have 3 heads now? Sorry everyone it's going to be 5 weeks... maybe." |

I believe they're focusing on the crashes given the patch notes. So far they've fixed my DX12 texture crash, but I haven't played in a week or so to test that again. That was probably my largest problem with the game. I'm cynically optimistic about the future of POE2. And believe POE1 will eventually be phased out.

" I don't particularly care about game content or balancing comments from GGG. However, I do care about crashes, bugs, and other game breaking events being known and announced that they are working on them. |

IF they had things done to the point they could deliver dates, then the POE1 delay announcement would not have been the way it were. They are bogged down, that happens in development when you underestimate the task. There is no solution, after it happens, except stop to make promisses and start crunching the technical and product debt until you can see yourself finishing everything within the next couple of weeks. THEN you start to make announecments and more plans.

" You have been told they cannot give you a road map in the video. And you expect road map the days after? I think you should not be spending your time playing video games man... For your own sake. |

" Yes, 0.2 is coming. Changes? I'll simply look at the patch notes. The interview covered the other info you mentioned, not sure why you forgot (I do but I won't say it, you might not like it). Tech guy Last edited by Warrax#2850 on Jan 31, 2025, 8:18:45 AM

" Really? It feels like it's been a year. |

Star Citizen player here...
Trust me, you don't want to go down the road of feature creep at the cost of reliability. If they are working to mitigate bugs and get this game to be stable for people, let them have time. A month and a half is NOTHING in any production industry to fix some of the bugs they are encountering and unfortunately, they ran into things they did not see coming like the crashing bug. I do agree there could and should be more communication, but overall this was never going to be a feature complete game from day one and too many people just need to let it cook. In 6 months time this should be a wholly different feel. If at that time we're still in the same place with the same communication, by all means, complain. |
