" There was no patch applied, I'm still at 0.1.1b. Steam loaded parts of a 2GB update but stuck at 831MB with the game playable. Never had that happen before. |

i am so tried to picking up all Breach Splinter when i am mapping, does the design even play POE2, when your BD is working well , you will get at least 40 Breach Splinter in 1 map, when you triggered the Breach passive you will get 2,3,even 10 breaches in 1 map, try to click at least 400 times in one map, idiot designer

" That's just not true. CPU is not meant to be run 100% at all time or for any extended period of time because modern CPUs are designed to run at a "normal" frequency or stepwise reduced frequency during normal load (very far from 100% on all cores, usually not even 50% as not many tasks utilize massive parallelism), and that takes place during the vast majority of operating time. They boost to overclocked frequencies during heavy load on demand to spike to peak performance, and will end up drawing max power and most certainly reach thermal limit of the silicon. The typically advertised lifespan of a CPU is the lifespan "under normal use" - which is the typical low load scenario with occasional boost, not 100% at all time. If you run CPU (or any modern complex chipset) at max load for extended period of time, you are shortening the lifespan of the part due to stressing it at thermal limit. This isn't exactly a new concept as crypto mining GPUs usually last about 2-3 years running at max load at all time compared to regular GPUs under normal or even gaming load that can last 10+ years with no issue. Please don't say things that aren't true and relish in the ignorance. Last edited by Errrrrrr#2206 on Feb 3, 2025, 8:14:28 AM

" Literally read both Intel and AMD's datasheet so you would know exactly how long these chips are rated to run at full tilt in a 24/7 setting, spoiler alert its more than 365 days. |

I don't think the problem is running at 100% CPU, but having to manually restart the computer everytime it freezes like that. Because that's what I had to do.
