[Removed by Support] but this is a goddamn gaming company. They aren't some evil despot or American politicians, they're video game nerds making a video game. I , for one, completely agree with OP. You guys are [Removed by Support] and don't deserve GGG.

You're aware PoE1 vets are the reason PoE2 exists right? Like you gotta be trolling.

and this is the kind of entitlement i'm talking about, poe1 vets are not above poe2 players in any way, supporting a game doesnt give you rights over such game or give you a sit on their table to decide what should they do.

Sry to break your bubble, but you are on the same level as someone who just recently joined their game with 0 money spent on it, not above, not below, the same

i was thinking about this. i think its a combination of things, but mainly its the people that this game attracts- hoarders with a tendency to gambling. the people that played standard league in poe1 for over 10 years would naturally be the most entitled here, not to mention some of them have real money involved so as the game becomes less popular they are literally losing money.

if you look at other games and what people play them they are clear patterns. some are more healthy than others.

yeah and i agree, however there's one important detail people forget, we own nothing, every dollar spent in a game, is a dollar lost, i mean steam could close and we all would lose "our" games.

But apparently here, time playing + money spent = the "right" to be entitled because this game exist "thanks" to them.

Like i once said ingame, somehow when i see these forums or global chat, i remember when i play LoL, different issues, same level of toxicity and entitlement

yea steam is a whole new can of worms man. i can't understand why would anyone use it. but what you said can be applied to anything so its kinda irrelevant.

i would agree is irrelevant if the money spent wasnt used as an excuse as often as it is lately in this community.

The 1st reason they complain is due the lies, then money spent and the rights they have over the game because of this and being a vet
Another rambling thread with zero or near zero mention that tencent is 100% in charge of the decision making processes now and where development dollars are funneled.

If POE2 players think they will now get preferential treatment to "fix" POE2 into a fun game, then oooooooooooooh boy you guys are gonna be disappointed.

Stop addressing GGG. GGG as you know it is gone.

i mean, i think is useless to mention Tencent, unless you are living under a rock it is known Tencent tends to ruin a game by overmonetization and lame ideas for western audience, i assume everyone knows that.

and actually i'm amazed they let GGG keep updating poe1

unless you are living under a rock

Every generic POE1 complaining thread over the past few months, and especially since this recent "announcement", seems to be from people living under those rocks.

You guys are speaking about a GGG that doesn't exist anymore. These threads read like many I saw on WoW or D3 forums like "omg why does blizz do X, Y, Z" which were oblivious to the fact that all big blizz decisions are made from the parent activision-blizzard company through MBA executive people who HATE videogames. Those videogames are simply a thing to abuse on a balance sheet to maximize profits.

Chris is gone in any capacity that you fondly remember. Jonathan, Mark, etc. are told what to do in terms of funneling development dollars, or their owners will find replacements who do.

If the MBA executive decision making types determine that funneling the vast majority of development dollars into MTX and supporter packs within an X month timeframe is the best move, you can bet it will happen.

To those who spent like $1000 or whatever in POE1 within the past year, congratulations you wasted $1000. Nothing you spent was used to improve your gameplay experience except a bit of dopamine for seeing your improved visuals the first few times.

Let this be a lesson for you to not become financially "invested" in ANY game going forward in the future, including POE2 if you are playing it. I wager that a lot of these "investors" are credit card heroes who can't actually afford the vast majority of "purchases" they have made for POE1 and/or POE2.

People love looking at skewed numbers now, but I'm sure that if the PoE fan base all drop their support at once, it won't take long for GGG to go into the red, so many of these so called new players did spend 30 bucks, not many will ever spend much more if PoE2 doesn't deliver. This game is not coming out this year, who will buy packs during the rest of this beta test? Sure a bunch will splash some cash at the release somewhere in the summer of 2026, but after that will those 'new players' come back like the PoE1 veterans did league after league? People are already burned out in 2 months of PoE 2 calling using teh word tedium left right and centre, while it took 10 years+ for many to burn ou ton PoE 1. So I'm not so sure about all these theories that PoE1 veterans are just crybabies, they funded PoE2 a game most of them did not sign up for, no one else, not the F2P one month Andies that are flockign to other games for the next 1,5 year at least, these are not coming back for a random balance patch.
